I think that's what is so scary about what academia has become. One of the things you used to get in college was exposure to different perspectives and viewpoints. But now anything that is not progressive left is prevented, eliminated, persecuted. It's a massive echo chamber. That's dangerous and not good for people ultimately becoming well rounded contributors to society.

(It's also why they are completely unable to handle things when life smacks them in the face after graduation, when they are no longer insulated from everything they don't agree with).

As I recall Jews were a big part of the Russian Revolution.

The reality is that Jews are overrepresented in most radical leftist movements. I think the question is whether they're really any different than rich, educated white kids in that regard. Dating back to the 60s, maybe not.

In other words, should we lump them in with other kids of privilege who are well off and well educated and have the luxury of time and money to find causes to become radicalized about or is there something particular to cultural Judaism that leads them to affiliate with these movements.

Yeah but this is an excellent opportunity to get them on the other side. Many will be voting R for the first time I can guarantee you that. It's possible for people to see the folly of their ways.

Hard to argue with that statement.

How is this not a hate crime? These stupid arse kids don't know shite about what they are protesting. The administration of these Universities better start looking at who's funding these schools for decades. Its not Hamas or Palestinians

Keep in mind that Jews are a race unto themselves. These marxists are simply pro-Palestine because Jews "look white" and are therefore automatically the persecutor. I honestly think it goes no further than that for a lot of the protestors.

I have some Jewish family members who were pretty hardcore Democrats who are now realizing that, given what they are seeing in society at the moment, they are a lot more middle-of-the-road than they thought.

And the ones who haven't changed their mind to at least be a bit more centrist are putting their brains in a pretzel trying to rationalize it.

I imagine most Northeastern Jewish people who don't support Israel's actions are protesting Israel today.

The ones who hardcore support Israel are mostly voting R anyway

These stupid little indoctrinated shits will not hesitate to call you a Nazi if you don’t fully embrace their Democrat Party inspired radical Marxist agenda, yet they’re the ones literally repeating Nazi history.

Yeah, I'm having a real hard time understanding when it became a conservative thing to support the Jews.

When I was in school, between attending classes, studying, assignments, my on-campus job (for the last couple years), and my social life, I didn't have time to be worried about what was going on on the other side of the world. Senior year was filled with job and grad school applications, as well.

And by no means was I qualified then to give an educated stance on complex geopolitical issues.

That's the difference between a trade school and a university.

Yep. It's been evolving over decades, 50 years and it really heated up in the last 10. Absolutely maddening the sort of people just now noticing.

In what fashion

The left has the knives out for them, and we're at war with the left, so there you are.

Yeah, that's what it smelled like.

It's pretty much the depth of American politics these days.

It's a shortcut for many on the right. If pressed to it, maybe they'd tell you they disagree generally with calling for the death of groups of people on US streets without consequence. Especially when the people doing it are rich white kids who also happen to believe biological sex is the product of white colonialism and wear keffiyehs from Amazon. But generally "whatever the radical left supports, I oppose" gets you to the same places.

Are we talking about Jewish people generally or the ones that support Israel hardcore? I don't see very much in these examples against Jews generally but targeted issues against Israeli first types.

Not Jews. Israel.

Conservatives have been real big Israel first types for a long time, especially the evangelicals who have adopted it

Not sure how up to date this is.. But I just read that they were clearing out Columbia protesters...

You would think she would be much better at using metaphors being that shes an ivy league student an all.

Trash all the same. Give her to the crane treatment, send her back where her peeps came from, I dont care honestly but her metaphors suck.
