What’s the OT thinking for height based on state? Is Maryland men taller than North Carolina? I can’t say I’ve ever really noticed in most states. I can say that men in the northeast and Southern California always seem a lot more fit. Maybe that means taller on average as well.

According to Gitnux, the average height for men in Wisconsin is 69.8 inches. According to World Population Review, the average height for men in Wisconsin is 5'10"–5'10.75".

Now do body weight perception for the fit, feminine, and friendly ladies of the OT. Average woman in the US weighs more than a man of the same height.

I have a coworker who is 6’7 and it seems rather miserable.

I just don't see that as the average where I am.
Is height evenly distributed?
For example, imagine a group of guys with the following heights:
5’1
5’9
5’9
5’10
5’10
5’11
6’0
Their average height is just under 5’9.
But for anyone’s experience in the world, they would say the average is 5’10, if not higher. Because the majority are 5’10 or taller. The shortest brings down the average.
Another way to think of it is in how we know the limits for human height. There are approximately 2800 people who are 7 ft tall (assuming they’re all men). There are approximately 350000 men with dwarfism. A 7 footer is 12-14 inches taller than someone 5’10-5’11. The average man with dwarfism is 4’0, almost two feet shorter than someone who is closer to 6’0.

6’ I can see the top of most people’s heads when I go in public here in Georgia.
Disgusting.

Meeting a woman that is even close to my height is both very rare and disconcerting.
I’m 6’5 and dated a girl that was 6’0. When she wore heels she could look me in the eye. It was definitely a weird feeling.
Alas it didn’t work out because if it would have we’d have had giant children.

I watched a documentary on dating once where they did a speed dating experiment. They measured the impact on everything from skin color, eye color, looks, amount of hair, height, weight, personality, dress, etc. etc.
The only statistically significant factor for male attractiveness was height.
But take heart short dudes, the study pointed out it was perceived height. Short women perceive height differently than average or taller women. If you’re skinnier you appear taller. Even your personality and clothes can affect a woman’s perception of your height.

Wow he's only 5'2"? I'm nearly a foot taller than he is!
I guess I always assumed he was just short compared to Hollywood "big men."

I’m 6’1” tallest woman I’ve dated was 5’10” and shortest was 5’1”.
I felt tall and big until I stood on the sidelines at a saints game then I understood what y’all and big really looked like but I was 42 and they all were in their 20’s early/mid 30’s

They don't look as tall on the TV because everyone on the field is a similar height.

Height is like a success cheat code.

I'm 5'9 official. One day I just started being real about it. I love tall women but even shorter girls are into 6 foot and above guys. If I was a 6'5 type dude I'd be all over some 5'8- 6'1 type girls. I've lived in Indiana briefly and Utah currently and people in general are taller there.

At least it’s easier than ever for short men to change their gender.

I have never met a woman as tall as me. Not really something I think about.
I'm 6'3", my wife is 6' (scholarship volleyball player in college) .... but when we're around the women’s basketball team we're average in that room at best.
