Did yall not read the practice reports that Kelly was raving about sage Ryan and major burns

Sage Ryan made plays all spring long according to the reports and Kelly and Burns is comfortable in his new “Star” position role

Good grief enough with the attacks on these players, these kids

I can’t wait til yall have to eat crow

Coaches lie

Sage and Burns were a big part of the worst secondary in LSU history

They’ve earned their doubters

No one cares about practice, we all saw live reps last week where sage looked as bad as last season

Sage Ryan’s only good play ever got called back. I would love for that to change but I don’t see it.

Burns puts forth effort, but rejoices after being burnt downfield.

Sage seems to be allergic to contact.

If these can be remedied then I'm all-in. If not, good riddance to them...

I think most people have just watched for the last couple of years and have seen theroduct on the field. Most blown coverages or tackles involve one of the two.

No offense but BK raves about a lot of things that don't end up true. Orgeron did the same thing. I hope they turn out good I really do but eyes don't lie and they looked every bit as bad as they did last year in spring game.

They haven’t played well throughout their whole careers. Being critical of their performances isn’t attacking them.

They are not “kids”. They are grown men that now receive pay for their performance.

Hopefully the change in defensive staff will click with their thought process and they’ll perform better without making a lot of mental mistakes as they have in the past.

I hope this is the case.

But Burns gets roasted by fans because not only does he get beat and miss tackles all the time, he celebrates tackles after guys pick up first downs. People would overlook some deficiencies in coverage if he wouldn't celebrate when he allows the other team to do something good

I hope it all works out but forgive me for being a little nervous because Saban told his QB to throw at Burns. I’m not kidding.

Yes, I understand that players can improve year to year and hope that is the case

Kelly thought the D was fine preseason last year. He also said we were gonna "beat the heck out of Florida State" and we saw what happened

Can’t make Ryan taller and faster and can’t make Burns faster.

Dude, it is wild you would make a post sticking up for 2 guys that have been given every opportunity imaginable and still can’t cut it.

Stop getting emotionally attached to players.

These guys are 20, 21, 22 year old young men playing a sport that generates MILLIONS in revenue. They, themselves, now are earning (at least) 5-figures simply for playing football. They aren't 6 years old learning how to play baseball in little league in front of mom, dad, and grandma. So spare us the absurdity they should be above criticism because they are just "innocent children".

To that end, Ryan's performance at LSU hasn't been noteworthy. So I guess you can believe whatever the coaches SAY or you can believe what your eyes tell you. Which have been mostly scenes like this....

Blown coverage in Spring game

or this...
