Trade Kamara, Lattimore, and Jordan

Saints need to start fresh. Try to trade what remaining assets they have left to move up in draft and build for the future.

Highly paid veteran players aren't viewed as assets. Especially when they are declining.
Assets would consist of high performing young players on rookie deals.

I would think that Lattimore would gain the most interest in a trade offer, and then Kamara. Unfortunately I think Cam is at the end of his career. I'd give him one more year to make something happen with this team and then hang it up.

You might get a 3rd for Lattimore, is that really worth it?
Kamara doesn't have much trade value as teams can draft RB's in lower rounds and I don't think many suitors would emerge for the amount of money Kamara is on the books for.
Cam isn't going anywhere, he will retire a Saint

How much cap space would it take to trade those 3 guys right now. Do we have that space?
How much cap space would it take to trade those 3 guys after June 1 (draft picks next year)? Do we have money for that this year and next year?
How many draft picks will we have to give up to trade Jordan? It could be the first negative trade in history.

Yeah, he's done. He was a liability all last season. Unless he can find the fountain of youth, his time in the league is over. He should just retire a Saint.

What are we getting in return for those old geezers? A pack of Juicy Fruit and some tickets to a Tulane baseball game?

Salary and age makes theses guys untradeable.

Won't matter if we still have Mickey Mouse and Dennis the Menace.

AK dead money would drop from $18.5M to $17M (save $1.5M)
Latt dead money would jump from $14.6M to $31.3M (cost $16.7M)
Cam dead money would jump from $13.8M to $35.1M (cost $21.3M)
Trading all 3 now would hit the team for about $36.5M and have 3 starting roster spots to fill

AK dead money would drop from $18.5M to $6.9M (save $11.7M in 2024)
Latt dead money would drop from $14.6M to $10.6M (save $4M in 2024)
Cam dead money would drop from $13.8M to $12.6M (save $1.2M in 2024)
Trading all 3 after 6/01 would save the team about $16.9M in 2024 and have 3 starting roster spots to fill.
The 2025 savings is more difficult because of some odd nuances, specifically in Latt's contract. My best guess is the savings would be as followed:
AK drops from $29M to $10M (saves $19M)
Latt drops from $31.4M to $20.7M (saves $10.7M)
Cam jumps from $20M to $22.5M (costs 2.5M)
Total savings would be $27.2M, currently $70M over. However, Loomis would not be able to adjust Latt & Cam's contracts any further to help spread those costs. Could be viewed as a plus.

Can't believe they gave cam that contract.
Kamara is gone after this yr unless he rips his deal up.

Don’t recall the situation, but didn’t they have to basically give him something to get cap relief? Cam knows he has the team by the nuts, doubtful they’ll make a legitimate run while he’s still here, he should maximize his earnings since they wasted his career

ML and AK wouldn't get near their value on the trade market. Cam is a goat but he's about washed.

Add Derek Carr into mix

I would be fine with 3 and 5-6 for Latt and Kamara respectively. Saints aren't sniffing a Super Bowl in the next 3 years with these clowns driving the ship. Might as well prepare for that inevitable future.

If they don’t trade Kamara now, they’ll never get anything for him.
