I would say more like Americans embraced 3D television.

I think the sweet spot for 4wd F150s is about 45 to 70k for max trim levels. The new technology in these trucks certainly warrants a price increase, but not as much as we’re talking about.

Hell, I paid right under 60k for my almost fully loaded lariat in 2022 and thought that was tough to stomach. Now, a similar truck is closer to 65-67

They should continue to make an XLT/STX without all of it and price it accordingly. I don't care about adaptive cruise, sensors in my taillights etc.

I agree. This is getting stupid. The most important part of a truck is the powertrain and constantly reinventing the wheel is just making trucks less reliable, more expensive (to purchase and fix), and filling them with gadgets that no one needs.

Although I agree with you, I wish my truck had adaptive cruise and auto-braking. That shite is nice.

Yeah they are nice and I’m okay with paying for it. But, I guess the hang up is that people want to nit pick what they want and don’t want, and that takes a lot of effort from the manufacturing floor to set this up. Ford already offers way more customization than other brands.

I get it though, some people don’t want to pay that much and that’s fine with me. I like the new technology and gizmos and gadgets in these new trucks. Makes driving enjoyable

They are raising the price by thousands of dollars for technology that is costing them singles of dollars per vehicle to create.

They have been greedy for far too long. When interest rates hit zero they raised their prices by $10s of thousands of dollars. Now the prices are high and the interest is high. I don’t feel sorry for them. They made plenty of money by ripping people off. “Prices are high because of covid” and so on.

Then don’t buy it. It’s your choice. I hear Kia makes a great vehicle

My wife's car has it and I could live without it, especially if it's adding 10k to the price

I'm talking about all of the unnecessary tech they put in them.

They could sell them (presumably at a profit) for 15-20k less than today 7 years ago. Not much has changed on them otherwise other than the transmission and technology updates.

The only thing I really like as far as new tech is the 360 camera. Don’t need the sensors. Adaptive cruise is super nice but I don’t need it in my truck as we take wife’s car on road trips

And heated and cooled seats are nice

Hey now, My 2500 is going strong. The trick is to keep the rest of the truck up around that Cummins engine.
