Saints drafting Tigers?

Since 2000, LSU has had a total of 126 players drafted into the NFL. Of that 126, the Saints have taken only 3 players.

In that time the Saints have won a Super Bowl, played in 3 NFC championship games, and won multiple playoff games and division titles. So, what was the point you were making?

If every NFL team drafted an equal number of LSU players, guess how many each team would have??
4 (3.94)
We have 3. What’s the problem?

Can you give us the stats for every other school in the Power 5?

Not sure why I put myself through this for idiots like the OP but here it is.
11 of the 68 other P5 schools have had more draft picks to the Saints than LSU. 4 others have the same amount, meaning 53 other P5 schools have fewer draft picks by the Saints than LSU. 20 P5 schools have 0 picks by the Saints. Let that sink in, almost double the schools have 0 picks by the Saints then have more, yet some cannot help but piss and moan about it.

in the grand scheme of things it doesn't really matter as those players are still getting nfl opportunities
only thing it does for saints, is maybe you sell a few more tickets to a game
I seriously doubt the Saints would have passed on Joe Burrow had they had the #1 pick that year
saints have always had some odd ball first round selections as well, some have worked and some haven't

Did you really feel the need to post this exact thread here and on the Rant? It's not exactly news that the Saints have not drafted a ton of LSU players.

And only 6 teams have more wins since 2000. Good strategy

Louisiana is really weird with where its athletes come from. Like, do you want to be successful? Or do you want to stock the locker room with homegrown guys regardless of success? Are people in New England or Kansas City as anal about the majority of their rosters not being from Massachusetts or Missouri?

How many of those 126 made it past the 1st contract in the league? The success of the program should really be rated by guys that are around for 5+ years. Who care is a player is drafted, but flames out within 3 years; NFL average is 3.3 years.

But I recognize their names because I followed their careers for the last 2-3 years; therefore, they must be great players and any team would be foolish to pass on them

We don't want our LSU guys to have a life of " suck-dom" , they should keep leaving LSU guys alone
