Leviticus 11:22
I am not a fan and haven't eaten any knowingly or willingly, but apparently they are cleaner than pork.
quote:
21However, you may eat the following kinds of flying insects that walk on all fours: those having jointed legs above their feet for hopping on the ground. 22 Of these you may eat any kind of locust, katydid, cricket, or grasshopper. 23All other flying insects that have four legs are detestable to you.…

No actual man would rather eat a cricket in lieu of pulled pork or pork ribs.

Just because the Bible says that we can eat bugs does not mean that I am going to do it. The Bible says we can stone people for adultery too.

I agree with you 100%. A large portion of the middle east would disagree with you though.

Thankfully, we don't live under the Mosaic Law anymore, but the perfect law of liberty in Christ.

I'm gonna need lots of different sauces when the globalists switch me over to that bug diet.

Don't forget real "traditional" marriage and child sacrifice.

Thankfully God's perfect moral standards don't change over time, as that would prove its subjectivity.

You have to take the Old Testament with a grain of salt.

Dude there's way worse stuff in the old testament than eating bugs.

Awesome. I'll stick with pork.

The "bible" is not the menu I eat from.

Which insects have 4 legs?
Posted on 4/12/24 at 9:58 am to GhostOfFreedom
Yeah. Gonna go ahead and assume all food from the biblical era....sucked arse compared to what has been introduced over the last few hundred years. Mixture of spices and cooking methods, I mean.

Life with no bacon, sausage, ham, ribs, pulled pork, etc would really suck.

I was told as a kid that you could get trichinosis from eating under-cooked pork. A few years ago I ran across the info that not a single person in America has been diagnosed with trichinosis in the last 100 years.
