I'll be pleased if the kid pans out but what I have to go off of with Mcmahon is Justice Hill memories.
Translation … I’ll be happy if he pans out but I won’t acknowledge it. However, if he doesn’t pan out I’ll be the first to say I told you so.

Ability to shoot deep threes translates to any league. The question is whether McMahon can devise an offense that both let's him shoot those threes and gets him free to shoot them. At 5'11" he needs some screens and quick passes to get him open.

It's just funny that the bar for bball is so low; a UT-Martin transfer is a "huge" get.
How about that Air Force Academy pick up last year in baseball

This is the first I've heard of it. I hate when people say "we know" or "Germans". Thanks for posting.

CUZ413 - Any guy who is experienced and can shoot 3's over 40% and averages over 21 ppg is a good find.

It does, the defender might be a little quicker, but the high elevation on his jump shot helps. He seems ok at mid range pull-ups as well. I don’t think the offense will be run for him. But he won’t be a liability either.
I would assume Carter and ward will be the primary offensive targets, along with perhaps Reed, depending on his development. With sears and Williams available for reversals and corner shooting.

gee, great point... Has McMahon proven he can successfully plug in transfer and elevate their game?.. not yet.
Classic deflection.

Here was his top 6 schools before picking the Tigers!
Sears had previously announced a top six schools that included Alabama, South Carolina, LSU, West Virginia,

So why the down votes?
Let’s call it what it is. There is a large faction of Will Wade fans that want to see him fail. I was a huge Will Wade fan and was(still am) pissed that LSU let him go. However, we will never know the whole details surrounding Wade getting fired. Logically one would assume that Woody did this to appease the NCAA during the whole OLOL John Paul Funes/Vidal Alexander ordeal. If CMM can’t get it done, then by all means he should be on the chopping block. But LSU wasn’t in the best situation when he got here and yet he still loves this place and wants to succeed here. There are just some that are still very bitter and he receives the brunt of that.

Bert Macklin, it appears I may have misjudged you. You DO seem to be fair and objective with thoughtful insights.

I remember the Justice Hill hype. Feels similar.
I know what you mean but I'd rather sign really good players to give us potential than not sign good players and not even have the potential.

From my non-professional opinion, it appears he is average quickness/explosiveness for a guard. He is more of a set 3 pt shooter with a fairly high elevation on his shot, but not a particularly quick release. He appears to keep his head up when dribbling and penetrating to find the open man, but his average quickness and being a little on the smaller side he may be a little less successful penetrating. I think he’s a good piece and we probably need him, but he won’t be an all-sec level player.
This kid is substantially better than ANYTHING we’ve seen at PG for the last 3yrs.

We weren’t exactly in a position to be overly selective with MM’s first roster.

Is a transfer from UT Martin going to be an impact player in the SEC?
Great point genius, no player from a smaller school had ever had an impact in college basketball ever. Larry Bird and Steph Curry are just figments of your imagination.
