Another big pickup for Men’s Basketball

McMahon seems to be slowly building the team with his type, we know he can coach, hopefully he can continue to get the guys he needs

From my non-professional opinion, it appears he is average quickness/explosiveness for a guard. He is more of a set 3 pt shooter with a fairly high elevation on his shot, but not a particularly quick release.
He appears to keep his head up when dribbling and penetrating to find the open man, but his average quickness and being a little on the smaller side he may be a little less successful penetrating.
I think he’s a good piece and we probably need him, but he won’t be an all-sec level player.

Is a transfer from UT Martin going to be an impact player in the SEC? I doubt it. It’s an improvement, but going into year three I expect more.

Experienced depth is NEVER a bad thing. This team is guard deficient. There is no bad guard signee.

You don't understand college basketball transfer recruiting if you think that the school the kid is coming from matters as much as it does in football. There are only 13 spots at each P5 school meaning TONS of talent is overlooked and ends up at smaller schools. 43% from 3 is 43% from 3 no matter where he comes from.

So you make the point lower tier school players aren’t good, then when someone refutes it, the problem isn’t the player, it’s McMahon.

This is such a dead giveaway that y’all don’t follow college basketball, and really that you don’t even follow LSU. If you did you would know that TONS of impact SEC players, including guys who have busted LSU’s arse, come from the lower levels
Mark sears- Ohio
Johni Broome- Morehead State
Zyon Pullin- UC Riverside
Dalton Knecht- northern Colorado
Antonio reeves- Illinois state
That’s more than half of the all-SEC first team! How in all the fricks can you say impact SEC players don’t come from smaller schools?!?
