Inflation came higher than expected and houses around sell for over + within a week. People are waiving financing inspection everything. My fear is that it’s foreign businessmen buying these up with cash to get money out of China. If so we should confiscate this foreign national homes

It’s hedge funds like black rock and big banks manipulating the housing market. The average Joe is broke.

Panels went up 20-30% last month. Crazy times.

Their plan works if you carry a large debt load.
Stay low in debt or debtless, no problem.

Where I live this is certainly true in the desirable close in areas. Not sure about other areas.

OP thinks it’s China, but China is going through a serious recession right now.

The Chinese businessmen are taking money out of Chinese markets rn because of the recession. It’s money laundering

My house has been on the market for a week and looks like a lot of houses on sale now crowding thebmarket. It's cooling where I am. Supply is going up and demand seems low. We had a boom now for 3 years and it's settled now. Different area though. I'm in TN.

Yea but how do I get that money to me so I can use it to buy houses at inflated prices?

What are we, Venezuela?
Worst thing one can do is come up with policy out of fear.

Strange how the restaurants stay full. Tourist destinations for vacations are staying booked. Vehicle sales are barely slowing down. Amazon shipments are still rolling like crazy.
So who exactly is broke?

Let me guess, you own a home

Might as well die off at this rate. We Americans don’t value poor people
