No politician or political party wants to help anyone other than themselves and their loved ones. I have the self-awareness to realize I can be naive at times and even I can’t deny this reality. It’s truly baffling that there are so many people out there who really believe politicians care about them.

I specifically operate on the assumption that not a single one of them actually cares about me or people like me.

It's not relevant to my vote in any way. I don't care how I think they feel. I don't even really care if they are good or bad people. None of that affects my vote in the slightest.

Can you explain how I attempted to do this?

I only have a first grader and pre-k-er. They don’t know abortion exists.

What the frick are you talking about? You vote for people to represent you. Regardless of their intentions, that's how it works.

Maybe after another 40 years in school, you'll get that.

I was very clear and direct. Why are you so upset? Jeez. Things aren’t that bad.

There’s a website that exists that has a political discussion board. People go to this board to debate politics and persuade others that their guy or their team is morally superior and cares about them/their issues. Maybe if you visited it some time, you’d understand my post better.

Is that supposed to be an answer? When people are backed into a corner here, they like to post emojis.

Like I tell my 4 years old, “use your words.”

I have no idea whatsoever if the individuals I support are THEMSELVES, "morally superior" or "cares about me". NO ONE has any idea.

AT BEST, I can claim his VOTES represent a morally superior direction. I can only vote based upon how a person says they will vote and how well what they say lines up with what they end up really doing.

That is all.

There's nothing serious to your assertion. You aren't looking for an answer. You aren't being serious. Hence, laughter is the only correct response.

There are no words to address your silly comparison.

You shouldn't let people like that drive your views and how you participate in discussion. That puts you on their level.

But hey, post a link to this website and I'll check it out.

Well, not 40. If you're trying to go down the road of who is more well-educated, you should turn around.

Sure, but why? If some Gump knocks up his sister, you don't go to their trailer and murder the rest of their children.

Could it be because most people don't actually believe abortion is murder?

Why what? It not be unfettered?

You think everything is about you, don’t you? Shocking.

What makes you think I do?

I’m not? Jeez you’re really insecure. You’re criticizing me for going to school while implying repeatedly that I’m clueless. I presume you believe you do have a clue so I’m wondering how long it took you to get one.

ETA it looks like you think claiming I’m 40 is insulting? It’s not. I aspire to be 40 someday. Sure beats the alternative.

I’m 100% serious. A fetus is not a citizen of the US and isn’t afforded constitutional protections. Neither are immigrants. Is your position on abortion purely emotional? Or is it grounded in reality?

Citizenship is irrelevant unless I was arguing that if I meet an illegal immigrant, I should be allowed to kill him.

Alas, they'll arrest me for that shite too!

The last three years are the worst I have ever seen - far exceeding in pure governmental evil than anything that happened in the prior 82 years of my life.

I do not recognize any integrity or morality or competence in any federal agency. In fact, the most conclusion I can reach is that they are motivated by pure evil not seen since WWII and its immediate aftermath.

Because it covers the rare exceptions one might be needed.

And an overwhelming majority support that option. Only the extreme want it available for a form of BC.

Well this is a new level to this argument....

Not saying it's a good one, but wow.
