This is a shite take. The spike in those “identifying” as being gay is a very recent trend. There would have to be a two decade delay for you to be correct.
There aren’t drastically more gay people now. There may be more people pretending to be gay, but that is just their mental illness on display.

But those numbers were only marginally higher for many many years.
This recent trend has all the earmarks of a fad.
I mean, where the hell did EMO go? It has become an incredibly small sub-culture now.
