That’s dominance, not homosexual behavior. They dominate other males for “mating rights” with females, much in the same way others in the animal kingdom exert dominance over other males they encounter.

Orangutans

Sociosexual behaviors among orangutans (Pongo spp.) are extremely common and invoke a variety of evolutionary strategies.[112][113] However, only one study of same-sex sexual behavior has been published.[114] In Sumatran orangutans (Pongo abelii), same-sex sexual behavior has been documented among two dyads of unflanged adolescent males. Oral contact with genitals and behavior similar to male-female forced copulation between sexually mature sub-adult males were observed.
Bonobos
Bonobos form a matriarchal society, unusual among apes. They are fully bisexual: both males and females engage in hetero- and homosexual behavior, being noted for female–female sex in particular,[96] including between juveniles and adults.[97] Roughly 60% of all bonobo sexual activity occurs between two or more females. While the homosexual bonding system in bonobos represents the highest frequency of homosexuality known in any primate species, homosexuality has been reported for all great apes, as well as a number of other primate species.[98][99][100][101][102]
I dont know if we'll ever discover what causes it, but some folks are just born different.
I went to school with a kid that we could all tell was queer before we even understood what that was.

You mean a society that has overtime increasingly accepted LGBTQ rights allows our society to be more open? Wow. Of course you may notice more gay people. There were gays all along, it’s just today people are more comfortable being themselves. Once the boomers die off, even more people will come out.

This, it was the same with left handed people once people stopped acting like being left handed was something evil (which apparently was an actual thing) you saw more and more left handed people. The more something becomes acceptable the more people are willing to step forward with who they are
