Guess it's time to call some buddies who know more than me and see if we can't get it running. Hope I don't need to. Probably some gunk up in the carburetor

I thought you had said earlier that you had just cleaned the carb, if you haven't done that DEFINITELY start there

HRRR has been all over the place, not putting too much trust into it yet

I misspoke. I cleaned the filter. It was kind of dirty, but not inordinately. Things only been run for about 5 days after Ida.

I'm resigned to my fate now. Hoping it's just a lot of rain

I wouldn't run it the rest of its life that way but for a few days? Won't hurt a thing other than burn extra fuel ETA: assuming it's running ok with it on, sometimes they'll get to surging or even sputtering if it's left on

Haven't even tried to run it with a load on it yet. Figured if it couldn't run off of choke it might affect power production. If it can get us comfortably through tomorrow I'll deal with the extra fuel cost and address the carb later in the week.

Got three from 11-15 in the house , plus the missus and I so no internet is gonna kill them

Generally going to have poor speed control running on choke and thus make some really dirty power and be low on power. I'd be careful what I hooked up to it IE no expensive stuff.

Lots of new inverter appliances can handle absolutely filthy power just fine though. Just use it for what you absolutely need till somebody who knows what they're looking at can check it out.

Incredible squall line racing through Southeast Texas. Literally jerked me awake ~ 3:50 am -- high winds, lighting out of control, rocks on the roof. Power outages GALORE-- now what? This is very strange

Is there a good website that shows total accumulated rain for the last 24-48 hours?

First storm cell is in Youngsville right now and this is one of the most impressive lightning shows I’ve seen in a long time.

Over 5" of rain since yesterday afternoon in the Longview area

It won't stop around here. Has to be 7" by now. Shreveport or Texarkana inbound.
