Something else that is interesting is the belief in angels. It's common to think of them as good and loving when the bible clearly refers to them as workers for God and having no feelings.

You don't come across as being very astute.
You, in this very thread:

If James White is a Baptist then he has no business Representing protestants. (The) Baptist church came from the Church of England. Baptists are by definition, not protestants. Get someone from Methodists, Episcopailian, etc., to take up that challenge.
You are very thought-provoking and have excellent arguments…
NOT!

Catholic/Protestant Debate
The devils plans are working out well for him.
You think Washington politicians invented the strategy of keeping everyone fighting among themselves and they won't have time to focus on the truth.
Better not waste time on garbage like this. Time is short, the Kingdom of God is near.

It is for sure. You’ve got to include the Bronze Age Canaanites, Sumerians, Akkadians, Babylonians, and Persians in there as well. For me I think my favorite is the Babylonian Enuma Elish wherein their god Marduk, whom them called “Bel” (master) conquered the great water dragon of chaos (Tiahmat), split it in half, and created the firmament to divide its body into the upper waters (of the sky) and the lower waters (called Tehom in Hebrew, a cognate of Tiahmat). The Hebrews called their god Yahweh by the title Baal (a cognate of Bel, also meaning master). Yahweh conquered the water monster/dragons Rahab and Leviathan, and divided the waters into upper waters and lower waters and created the firmament to keep them separate.

James White is a weak Christian, never mind "Protestant". He plays for the wrong team, dilutes Scripture, is Woke (AND hides behind the mask of "Protestantism").
Let's put our "A" personnel out there -- like a John McArthur of anyone from his Grace To You church org.

EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.
All you EVER do is inject yourself early and often, trying to pre-emptively intimidate the Mods with your untrue, never-proven "Catholic Bashing" claims and whining.
Then you come out and try to clear the field:
"I AM READY.
"I WILL BRING THE SMOKE."
Doesn't much sound as if you want the thread Anchored and "deleted".
However, once you and your anti-Protestantism views and RCC Supremacy are challenged, you'll hit the Big Red "MOMMY, HELP!!" button.

2000 years ago jesus came to earth to start his church.
wait....no he said he would wait 1500 years and then get some guy named martin luther to start his church. yeah thats more like it.
No, WAIT...
The Holy Ghost / Jesus hand-picked CONSTANTINE in as Emperor / Bishop of Rome / Vicar / Pontiff (yes, he was called ALL those titles!) to meld the Heathens and Pagans along with the new "Christianity". And VOILA! an all-inclusive integrated "RCC" brand was created, right?
Ever hear of the “Donation of Constantine”, c.750?
Btw, Luther merely cleaned up the un-scriptural mess made by "Holy Roman Empire" Popes / Emperors. He knew the true "Church" was based NOT on "Religion", Rites & Rituals and Obedience to Man's Church, but on the Faith and Grace along, and Gospel of Jesus Christ.

There is no point in debating you. You believe what you want. No amount of evidence will convince you of Truth.
I would tell you to read the entire Bible, but you place no value in it and will come out of left field with a litany of nonsense, because you are smarter than every theologian in human history.

"Bishop of Rome" was once one of the titles -- like Pontiff, Pope, and Emperor. (don't believe me -- look it up)

Atheists have a good case to argue.

The Catholic position is that Christ founded a Church
and that Early Church believed what Catholic believe today.
The Christian position: Jesus Christ founded a Church -- HIS Church.
The early Church believed exactly what Jesus taught: "Salvation ONLY through Grace." And the Gospel message.
Then Constantine and those who exploited a situation by invoking both State and Christ-by-Proxy powers (as "Vicars of Christ"). This hybrid Holy Roman Empire rule and system would wind up binding the citizens of many nations and people for a 1000 years.
quote:
The Protestant position is that the Bible Alone is the basis of Christianity, NOT the "early Church",
Absolutely, Sola Scriptura. Man's "traditions" based on Man's Nature means they have been corrupted. ONLY the Bible, God's Word (and inspired Word) can be trusted 100%.
quote:
and that error crept into the Church of Rome by the Third Century A.D. These errors were corrected by The Reformers.
You do realize Bible ownership as late as the 1500s was a death penalty, as ordered by the Vatican and its church overlords, right?
You do realize also that the un-converted were coerced under penalty of death as well? (be they Protestant, Jewish, Muslim, or Pagan).
100% historically and factually TRUE.
NOT any part of the Gospel or teachings of Jesus Christ (OR of Ten Commandments).

Are you one of the folks who say that Planet Earth is only 6,000 years old? Yes, you are. As such, people should disregard all of your lies.
Folks, Catholic Answers explains the Catholic position. Do not listen to hateful Protestant Lies.

There is no point in debating you
Because your arguments are logical, incoherent, and hypocritical. You made a statement and I asked you a simple question that you either cannot or are choosing not to answer. You said good is not possible without evil. So if good is in heaven, does that mean evil is also in heaven?
quote:
because you are smarter than every theologian in human history.
It doesn’t take a theologian to see that there are two conflicting stories of who killed Goliath, and a third in Chronicles written by a Levite priest for the purpose of trying to clean up the contradiction.
