Best thing JJ can do now is to sit all but two players from his starters on the bench and bring up the new guys and give them playing time! This season is nothing but a complete s hitty mess and a bad memory for the ticket buyers!

If the lose the series to Missouri, or Auburn, I'd play nothing but underclassmen where I could.
And process any behind the scenes problem.

Let’s go for mercy run defeat #4 this weekend!

It would be one thing if they were expected to be this bad but they were ranked #2 preseason which shows the talent on this roster. That’s what’s most concerning, is the severely underperforming

While the preseason expectations were high, it is customary for the reigning national champion to be ranked in the top 5 the next season. Mississippi St and Ole Miss were both ranked #4 in D1 Baseball’s preseason rankings in the year following their titles.
I’m less concerned than I would be if I were an MSU or OM fan because of Jay’s previous postseason success prior to LSU, which shows that he’s willing and able to adapt his approach from school-to-school and year-to-year, rather than catching lightning in a bottle with one particular arrangement of talent and experience.

Don’t forget that the 2008 team was 23-16 before they went in their big win streak.

So they were with him at Arizona (when he went to Omaha twice) as well?

Please list the similarities.
Jay is a professional. O was a clown.
Jay won at multiple stops. O won at one place and flamed out.
Jay is a grinder. O was not.
Outside of both winning a championship at LSU, there ain’t many similarities.

Immediate success using the portal and a few studs that they didn’t have anything to do with getting to campus
Won a championship in short order
Things start going off the rails soon after
The same beat dog look in interviews after bad losses.
The difference is I believe JJ has the ability to right the ship, I don’t think O could’ve even if given more chances
But to say their arcs at LSU aren’t comparable to this point is not being objective

Jay Johnson went to 2 CWS at Arizona including making it to the title game
What success did Coach O have before or after LSU? I'll hang up and wait

You must’ve missed the part where I said at LSU

The transfer portal didn't exist when O took over at LSU.

Eh, transfers then. Portal opened in 2018

This is heavy revisionist history. Burrow came to LSU because 1)Bill Busch had a relationship with the family and 2) Orgeron had screwed up the QB recruiting and had a spot available. Let's not forget that Burrow was FAAAAAARRRRRRR from a sure thing and lots of folks, including portions of the team wanted McMillan to start.
Skenes had way more skins on the wall when he arrived at LSU than Burrow did from OSU. White was also a much more known commodity than Burrow was.

Okay, they both won a natty for LSU. I'll give you that.

This isn't remotely the same situation relative to O's complete lack of leadership and what's happening with the baseball team. Jay Johnson doesn't have his girlfriends kids running drills at practice. Jay Johnson didn't hire a washed up has been to his staff without even an interview. Jay Johnson didn't have the baseball team exclude him from a march that they decided to do as a team.

This is 100% subjective and doesn't amount to anything.

Good, you shouldn't. JJ's non LSU record was 317-172 with 2 Omaha appearances. Orgeron's non LSU record was 10-25. One of these is very much not like the other.

This is just laughable. Orgeron drove this program so far into the ground, we had to start a WR at QB and it's taken 3 years to get the wheels back on. Jay is halfway through this season. Have some perspective.

For what it is worth, you can not GUARANTEE anything.
When you do, however, a guarantee usually is accompanied with some sort of return if the guarantee fails.
What are you offering in compensation if LSU is NOT swept and NOT run-ruled?

This is the worst LSU team that I have seen by a pretty wide margin

What coach would have 2 complete plug-ins for Skenes and Crews, this is just stupid. I believe he may have miscalculated the supposed depth and improvement of the bullpen, but there are many position players I assume he thought would improve significantly from last season that haven't made the jump. It's been a very disappointing season, and I don't think the upper classmen starting players have done much to improve the overall product on the field being helping younger guys or themselves. Whole team has been a disappointment in SEC play other than Tanks, Bingham, Holman, Herring and Gage. Still have poor fielding at SS at times.
Advancing RISP has sucked big time. The 5th year seniors haven't added any guidance to team improvement. JJ isn't the issue.
