I would think he was still going to class. I don’t think lsu prevents people with charges from attending

God I hope so. Presumption of innocence should absolutely extend to education.

Yep
Society screaming that we need more gun laws.
Well, we have plenty if gun laws.
Here is an opportunity for the criminal justice system to enforce them.
Why do we want a guy that shoots a gun a people on the team?
He needs 2 years in prison.

Good for him and I hope he is back soon but the DA must not have wanted an indictment. They can indict a ham sandwich if they want to.

The remaining charges are 100% bogus inasmuch as having a weapon is not a crime. There’s mUh jUstice sysTem.

Why do we "need" gun laws? How do laws prevent crime?

What is punishment for one felony count of illegal use of a weapon or dangerous instrumentality?

So the grand jury finds he was there and fired a weapon. Interesting, hope he beats it, anyone can be indicted.

The Grand Jury does not find anything other than probable cause to try him.

What it says to me right now is that there is a person involved who warranted these charges. Holly says he was not there as his defense and the GJ opted to indict him for it so he has not presented evidence to firmly prove his case. At this point he can either prove he was not there or plea deal to lesser charge.

He doesn't have to prove anything. The D A has to prove he was culpable.

Here shel. In the original thread I said my sources matched Holly’s gun to the ballistics at the scene

Explain how being charged with illegal use of a firearm goes against holly shooting his gun? He is still facing felony charges for firing a gun at the scene in which multiple people were shot and taken to the hospital. You realize that right? Or did you just read the thread title and get a little chub and not continue reading?

No to both of your statements

He doesn’t have to prove anything, the state does. He also doesn’t just get to chose a plea, the state has to offer one

0-2 years if it was not done while committing another crime or used in a threatening manner

10 years minimum if used during the act of a crime or for threatening purposes

quote:

F. Whoever commits the crime of illegal use of weapons or dangerous instrumentalities by discharging a firearm while committing, attempting to commit, conspiring to commit, or soliciting, coercing, or intimidating another person to commit a crime of violence or violation of the Uniform Controlled Dangerous Substances Law, shall be imprisoned at hard labor for not less then ten years nor more than twenty years, without benefit of parole, probation, or suspension of sentence.

Lawyer in here yesterday said we wouldn’t know exactly which he is being charged with until reading the bill of indictment
