That was a fantastic and exciting season with an Elite 8 finish. There should be something to honor the good work and success.

Give them a participation trophy, it’s what society does now!

I’ve never heard of celebrations being held for an elite 8 appearance

After the way the LAT, WAPO, ESPN and the fricking governor have behaved, it may be best to just have the real fans sing their praises with a simple thank you.

I wouldn’t think so and I wouldn’t think the players or coaches want or expect one. We had a parade and all the trimmings for the NC last season. Sure this was a very good season but I think the attitude of the returning players and the coaches is “back to work.”

You don’t throw celebrations for losing in the Elite 8

A miracle run from a small school can celebrate an Elite 8 appearance. Defending champs can't.

There will be an appreciation dinner April 11…it cost and money and donations go to help them in various things.. they will have an auction and comments from the players and coaches.. it is not so much a victory dinner as much as just a dinner to show appreciation to the WBB program from fans ..regardless of the outcome of the season.. it is nice and decent food..
it is on the lsu page.. you need to rsvp..
if you go to various functions with the team you will see nice the players are and willing to interact with their fans.

It was a great season, but it's tough for me to think there will be a celebration when they won a championship just last season

Elite 8 is quite the accomplishment, so it will be noticed during game 1 intros later this year.
