Interesting video I came across on the Youtube. An 18 year old girl on the road with rock bands in 1968. Someone was doing a documentary on girls who ran off to Cali to be groupies in the hippie music scene there. The film is a documentary and not acting.

In this clip she was on the phone back home and then sits with friends worried her parents are pissed. One of the baws trolls her and says "I heard your parents are flying out here."

Youtube

Someone in comments said she is still alive and well and married the guy who was filming. If this was 1968, she would be mid 70's today.

Just an interesting look at the late 60's from a "real life" perspective of people sitting around talking.

Apparently her name is Iris. She's still alive.

She probably looks back on that filmed conversation as if it happened just a few years ago to her.

The 2024 version of her would be, her posing on instagram in her new thong, showing off her new leg and back tattoos, while doing her best duck-face.

The guys seem kinda cucky, tbh.

She's cute AF, though.

That's my generation ... our schools were the best in the world back then. Forced busing was still a year or two away. Life was good. '68 was kind of a turning point. The Tet Offensive was on in Vietnam. Easy Rider may have come out that year or there abouts. Jane Fonda was being a full blown count. There were protests up north and out west. TV was still very wholesome. We kids .... we had it good. Life was good. No real worries for the most part. The Black Panthers and Soviets/Commies seemed far away in the big cities up north and in the midwest.

Should'uv never given women the Right to Vote 50 years earlier though ... they were causing a lot of chaos by '68.

Iris was a cutie pie though. 72 is not that old. She didn't look like the smoker or heavy drinker or druggie type, she probably still looks good. Her daughter was 48 three years ago so .... Iris may have great grandkids by now.

That was a really pretty girl. You could see she'd learned and mis-learned quite a bit. Tough.

I’m just here to say Jenny is one of the most vile characters I’ve ever seen. She’s portrayed as this victim when in reality she was a selfish bitch that used people, especially a mildly retarded, good-hearted man for his money only after she was no longer desirable

I actually know a woman who was a "groupie" from the 60s.

She is just plain weird.

She is indeed drop-dead gorgeous. She does seem to deflect alot. Probably pulled a train on 10 Years After. Reminds me of a Hoyt Axton song Idol of the Band
