I know this should probably go on food board, but I’d like to hear the OT’s recommendations for north Lafayette eating establishments. Will be there for work later this week. Thanks in advance.

Fezzo's used to be good. Haven't lived in that area in over 10 years though.

Second Cafe Josephine.
Prejean's duck and andouille gumbo.
If you include downtown and anything north of Congress in that area (it's not far), Pamplona, Dwyer's for breakfast, and Julien's Po-Boys. I think Don's Specialty Meats and Best Stop offer take out.

Prejean's isn't terrible. Just touristy.
Cafe Josephine is top notch but in Sunset. Not a far drive.
Swanky's has good bar food..burgers and poboys.
Drive down to Scott and get some Fezzo's but if you are coming that way, got to Uncle Ts.

Dwyer's for breakfast
Julien's Poboys gets a lot of local love, but it has never been anything amazing to me. Good for sure but not noteworthy.
Good thing about that entire area is that you can pull into just about any small, random gas station and find some of the best food in the world. Fried seafood, gumbo/etoufee, boudin for days.

Try Dwyer's cafe in for lunch in downtown Lafayette. Also open on Saturday. Best old style lunch served cafeteria style.

If you're willing to go downtown, then Johnson's Boucaniere, Pop's Poboys, Spoonbill, and Central Pizza are all good options.

Ever since Joe sold it, it's been downhill. In college I'd be the only white person in there. Best friend chicken I've ever had.

Upper Lafayette baw.
Mandez’s has the best burger in Lafayette, located on Doucet near the Grand Theatre before you get to Red’s.
Prejean’s in Carencro has a new Chef and had a menu overhaul approx 1.5 years ago. It’s a great representation of Louisiana seafood, and the Sunday brunch is fantastic. Broussard location is solid as well. Carencro location does a Friday night soul food dish prepared by another cook named “Big Ju” that is always on point.
As others have said, Cafe Josephine is excellent, but that is technically located in Sunset.
Blanchard’s BBQ on Pinhook is absolutely fantastic.
