At what age do you feel like you finally figured life out?

When do you feel like you actually got to a place where you had purpose, felt solid in your career, knew what you wanted from yourself and family, and had solid financial footing?
Was it different from what you expected when you were younger? I remember being an idealistic teenager thinking what my life would be like based off TV, movies, and a few examples around me. It took about 20 extra years to get there.

Probably next year.
Been saying that for decades.

Hopefully in my 60s. If not then, maybe later. I do know how to make rice a roni. So I’ve got that.

Just turned 52 and still working on it.
Have a place and purpose. Like the job, solid in my career, solid financial footing.
But life changes, dealing with aging parents, adult children, aging, keeps moving the bar of worry free living that I'd hope to have.

The moment you feel like you have life figured out....it will throw you a knuckleball and kick you in the nuts.

When we were 6 years old a few friends and I had a roundtable discussion at school and hashed it out relatively quickly. It helped that we had an average IQ of 140.

You never do. It keeps changing, so should we.

About where I'm at, although we've still got a teenager at home which is whole other source of stress.

If you ever think you have it figured out, it’s a sure sign that you don’t.

Struggling big time with this right now. Have a solid job that I’m thankful for, but I’d be lying if I said I gave a damn about it. Makes it difficult to want to get better at it each day.

Life is constantly changing so we are always learning. I think its what makes part of life great. If we were all same this world would be incredibly boring. That said we should still learn to ELE.
Late 30s is when I felt I started to grasp the important things in life.

For me, it was early 40's when I finally woke up and realized that my purpose and mission was not of my own doing but of God's.

The best thing about life is it's unpredictability. Every day is new with new aquantances and experiences. I hope I never figure it out, sounds boring.

I've got a 16 year old at home that is getting some low effort parenting at this point, being the 3rd kid. Luckily, he's a good kid and makes straight A's.

To make a distinction, one can feel like they have it all figured out, and find themselves later on to have been wrong. One can feel lost but still be right. Some need no reflection to feel right, and some will do endless reflection and never satisfied.
