How are we looking the rest of the night for North Alabama?

With how little we have seen so far, I think there may be a chance for the line with the front to cause some problems after dark. I'm not sold on it, but we will be under that tornado watch until 9pm.

It has nothing to do with inconvenience. It’s the fact that they overrreact and cancel school when it was becoming increasingly clear that Nashville was not going to get the severe parts of the squall line. And the more they do this and it turns out to be nothing, the more people ignore them bc it’s the boy who cried wolf. They actually increased the danger by putting everyone out on the roads scrambling for kids during the worst of the storms.
I’m very grateful that we weren’t in the danger zone like Ohio and KY were. And I said several times that if I were Louisville or Cincinnati I would be all for the closures, but Nashville it was ridiculous.

I agree with you, especially when it comes to half day closures. Unfortunately, that's where we are these days.

Really close to having one on the ground in West Union, OH.

ETA: It is on the ground.

Assume a couple of these cells around Lake Martin will get severe warned soon?

Watching these storms around Tuscaloosa and back to the southwest of there. Nothing severe or tornadic right now, but worth watching.

They're hanging onto the chances, but there's barely anything spinning right now.

Meanwhile, up my way we aren't going to get enough rain to even wet the ground it seems.

For the Alabama folks. Spann is starting to give the all clear to parts of west Alabama.

NWS offices in Birmingham and Huntsville are trimming the northwestern counties of Alabama from the tornado watch.

That's one of those storms that dispels the myth that a river can protect an area from tornadoes.

This shite triggers me so bad

One of my good friends who has actually posted on here for a long time still believes it regarding the Bluff in Memphis combined with the river. We have gone back and forth posting old tornado tracks where I disprove it then he moves the goalposts and said only F3+ or strictly downtown Memphis which can also be fairly easily disproven

He also knows how much it pisses me off so he's also partially trolling me when he says it but I also think he believes it to a degree. I love my friends I truly do

We will finish the day with what I think they consider a "trace" of rain.

Not complaining at all. We're above normal for the year and didn't really need it.
