Johnson could have passed a much smaller minibus avoiding a shutdown.

Why didn't he do that?

Then he could have kept his promise and brought single subject bills to the floor.

Yet another thread where you pretend like reality doesn’t exist?

If the single issue appropriations bills could have all cleared committee and passed on the floor, he would have done so.

Think so? He's got a 5 vote majority and more than half of those are RINOs.

I think they realize how impossible the job is once they are faced with just how severe the situation is with outrageously unrealistic and unreasonable expectations from the citizenry. It takes a genuinely dedicated individual to continue onward in good faith despite how hard the people make it for you, oftentimes unnecessarily and needlessly so.

I think it’s a reasonable question.

This board has been cursing his name and mtg has filed a motion to vacate.

That’s no minor matter.

If the process has started to process Trumps pick yet again (McCarthy bring the OG Trump pick) then be there should be serious questions about his judgment.

Trump is going to support whomever is speaker.

None of them have the courage to do what is right.

Most of them will be reelected though and the cycle continues.

They dont have the votes to "do whats right."

Republicans need better leadership and a much better ground game.

Trump endorsed both Johnson and McCarthy FOR speaker.

That’s different than supporting the existing speaker.

Might be something to figure out before you endorse them if you are the de facto leader of the party and movement no?

how about Congress do their d#mn jobs and pass a legit budget and stop these short term bills.

There should be a law that if Congress doesnt have a fully funded budget by Sept 30, that they work without pay (and no back pay) until its done.

MTG explained that perfectly in her Tucker Carlson interview.

And made the Senate reject it - causing the shutdown.

oh bullshite - some of you must not know the first thing about the situation.

There are a number of Rino's in the GOP house contengent - they are worse than Democrats = giving a sense of majority but purposefully failing to exercise it when needed => giving the opposition plenty of ammo for media/swamp conglomerate to pummel them with in the next campaign.

Time to do something about this is during the primaries - get rid of all these fakers.

How? The same old RINOs have their districts locked down.

We can't gat a speaker with the balls to bring single subject bills to floor...if he could even get them out of committee.

There's no way to force these assholes to vote on the record other than these monster bills where everyone gets paid.
