This sounds a lot like Colorado Buff's Football fans.
You would have a point if LSU finished dead last in the SEC and didn’t play in the postseason but I digress brother. A 4-8(1-8) Colorado football team, seems very comparable to this LSU Basketball team all things considered.

You just said there's a lot of reasons he's wrong. You listed one that is kind of shitty. Where are any good reasons he's wrong? Being invited to the NIT is like saying you have a chance to be one of the smartest retards in the room. Losing first round in the NIT means you suck
There is a lot of reasons, one would be that we already beat UNT this year so there’s no possible way they are better than us.
Any kind of post season play for 99.5% of fans this year was totally out of the question and now you’re trying to change the narrative you have tried to build all year to save face because you were one of those smart retards you speak of that cried on this board based off of an emotional feeling for a coach that’s never going to come back and you don’t know jack shite about basketball. You had people like me who actually live and breathe the game telling you to relax and you, like many females, just couldn’t help yourself. Go back and read my projections before and during the season and tell me where I missed. I’ll wait.
Then, after we do the unexpected and massively overachieve the expectations set by 99.5% of this board, we get postseason play. Still, nothing, until we get beat by a mid-major who no one considers a basketball school for you to pop your ugly arse head out here again talking nonsense to try to say you were right all along about how bad McMahon is.
Where were you when 22-11(9-9) LSU as a 6 seed and NBA talent on the roster got bounced in the first round in the NCAA Tournament by 11 seed Iowa State? Were you wanting Wades head on a silver platter or did you give him a pass? Why or why not? I’ll be waiting for a response.

Oh so they couldn’t beat Iowa State because Wade wasn’t coaching, but when Wade was serving a 10 game suspension this year with McNeese and they beat teams like VCU and UAB y’all didn’t have an issue giving him the credit for those wins…seems a little contradictory but ok.

That doesn't really matter to me though, he could or could not be on the sideline whatever wins the games.
LSU went to the sweet 16, LSU won the conference, LSU had made 4 straight NCAAs, LSU finished as a top 70 team five straight years (twice as a top 20). Give Tony B the wins, it doesn't actually matter.

He wasn't even on Campus for the ISU game. He was at least still the HC for McNeese. That's a bit of a difference right?

I don't disagree that LSU team was flawed and probably would have struggled with Iowa St even if Wade were coaching that game. But it's quite ridiculous to compare the two situations.
The LSU team completely unexpectedly lost not only their HC, but their top assistant (Bill Armstrong), literally 6 days before playing a good opponent in the most high pressure game of the season, and only 5 days after learning who that opponent would be.
McNeese, Wade, and his coaching staff knew literally from the day he was was hired that he was not going to be able to coach the first 10 games of the season. It was part of the show cause sanctions. And they knew who their opponents in those 10 games would be for MONTHS prior to playing them. Wade's absence was a shock to no one.

No one talks about injuries either. Like it or not, Cooks 15ppg mattered even as selfish as he was. Not having Cook took a huge aspect of our game away from us. Without him our guards were “put your head down and get to the rim” kinds of guards. Defenses could switch to zone and pinch the drives and it caused us fits. Cook made them respect the third level from the top to where the guards had to play beyond the 3 point line.
Stewart before injury looked like he was figuring it out and there’s no question Collins might’ve been our most consistent big this year had he not had the shoulder issue.
Anyone notice the difference in Hannibal last year and this year? Ward and Reed? How about how much better Williams got as the year went on?? That’s what development looks like. We have momentum to sign some great transfers and the high school kids we have coming are going to fill a major need regardless if Cook stays or goes.

strange to me that many people can disagree that it’s a troubling sign that North Texas wanted the 50-50 balls more than us.
That would be strange to me as well, but how do you know it's true? Because "Hannibal said"?

Are you a coach? Just curious.

Look idc what McNeese does other than I like Will Wade and hope he wins, same with Texas Southern and JJ. So not looking to bicker about Wade any further. So my bad for bringing it up.
We need to talk about the current program. And look CMM did a good job, 9-9 in the SEC is a good record for LSU teams in building years. What is worrisome is we are still pretty far away from being a tournament team despite having the same conference record that Wade's 6th seed got(75 spots lower on KP).
AND we have to replace 5 to maybe 6 guys in the rotation for next season. He almost has to have the same level of improvement YoY just to get us on the bubble next season. That is just going to be a tall task especially since we have a good chunk of misses from the portal.

To play Devil's Advocate back - he was heavily involved in the coaching of the team that made the Sweet 16 - that's just a fact and common knowledge.
That was not the case last year and the kids were pretty devestated by it.

I can tell you're a smart guy and really understand basketball at a fundamental level. Wade vs McMahon vs Pearl vs Beard BS aside, you have my respect because I can tell you understand the game.
This team would have been a lot better with Cook. His ability to score at all 3 levels is something that can't be replaced. His issue was never skill- it was mentality. The fact that we had our best wins without him is a miracle. It doesn't mean that we're better off without him. He is a good player.

I mentioned this earlier in the year but I really believe Stewart's issues were scheme based. He was forced to be an off ball scorer at like 6'1'' and he doesn't get a lot of elevation on his jumper so that was just a no go. Watch his highlights at SC, he likes to attack from the top and pull up from the nail, or drive and kick, or make some tough layups in the paint...
Now how are you gonna do that as an off ball guy who either catches and shoots from the wing or is forced to only attack the paint from the baseline???? And I wonder which player is sitting in the paint eating up space??? Will Baker perhaps??
I'd love to hear your input on the possibility of Reed playing the 5 so we can run a true 5 out on offense. I think that would open up a lot for our guards and wings. Baker IMO was a big reason why the offense was shitty. Just ate up space and didn't contribute much.

They'll use X's injury as an excuse for going 9-9 but will disregard Cook's, Wilkinson's, Ward's, Collins', etc.

No. He's a bad coach. He's a mediocre recruiter. He doesn't have a plan that is capable of getting us to where we want to be.

9-9 in the best conference would get you into the tournament. We played a remarkably weak schedule. And there is no longer such thing as a "building year" in div I basketball.

Which is why he is obviously not the right guy for this job. We won't do it, but it is time to move on.

I know. I’ve spoken to many people who have told me that the team was so heartbroken that Wade got fired that they practically didn’t even want to board the plane to go the tournament. Sucks because that team was special imo. I felt like we had the potential to go to the final four
