Where were you when 22-11(9-9) LSU as a 6 seed and NBA talent on the roster got bounced in the first round in the NCAA Tournament by 11 seed Iowa State? Were you wanting Wades head on a silver platter or did you give him a pass? Why or why not? I’ll be waiting for a response.

Hahahahaha.

You mean the season woody sabotaged?

How many times are you gonna post this same stupid shite when we just lost in the nit but that sabotaged wade team went to the dance. Smh.

This should not be a shock to anybody that has went to our basketball games. There's a reason why Hannibal and Dean had dramatically increased roles down the stretch. They were the only 2 on the team that could handle the physical play that was used against us.

That dude thought Wade coached the NCAAT game and fans gave him a pass because, you know, he’s Will Wade - when in fact, Wade was fired a week prior and no longer employed by LSU.

Some of these guys just constantly shift their talking points to fit whatever narrative, truth be damned.

I just think it’s funny.

Dance or not people were upset at going 9-9 in a stronger SEC than Wade’s last year. When it’s mentioned they went 9-9 also then the goalpost is moved to “well X was hurt” “well we made the tournament”. Which are both true, but still moving the goalpost from the original 9-9 comparison.

Wasn’t on TD at the time but I’m sure you and everyone else was beyond thrilled when Ole Miss throttled us at home and we went on that losing streak. I’m sure you were elated when we lost to TCU man.

Edit- im not a McMahon lover or a wade hater. I’ve been plenty critical of McMahon; I also hold no emotional attachment to wade nor see any point to prop him up. I think I’m one of the only people to be both critical and appreciative of both when necessary.
Do me a favor and find a post where I said wade was a bad coach or MM was better or something similar

They were in the tournament for a reason. It’s not like we were playing Missouri.

North Texas won the NIT in 2023.

Then promptly lost 4 of their 5 starters from 2023 along with their Head Coach. While not a bad team. This was NOT the same North Texas team from last season

You apparently sir Don't know the difference between the NCAA tournament and the NIT tournament. A young team losing in the first round of an NCAA tournament is much better let me say it again so that you really get it much better than losing in the first round of a loser in IT tournament. Go to bed little boy

I really don't think you understand the majority of people here. We don't care about the record we care about the end result. Read carefully, the NCAA tournament is better than the NIT tournament. How you got there or well it's worse this year than before, doesn't matter. We went to the loser tournament and we lost in the first round. If you think that's a moral victory then you can go have all the second place finishes you want.

You said we overachieve compared to expectations. You must have really weak expectations. I expect to try to win every game. Our own player said that we lost the 50-50 balls. But you probably know more than him Mr basketball.

This isn’t football. Mid major basketball programs don’t have as wide of a gap in talent as a SEC football team. North Texas State has a pretty good basketball team. Those boys won the NIT last year. I’m not thrilled we lost nor am I surprised we did not win. A lot of these mid major basketball schools will punch you right in the mouth.

Any other sec school would’ve whipped those dudes . I wonder how we gonna do next year in the sec lol if we okay with losing to north Texas cause they won the NIt last year ….. LAST YEAR

It depends on the team doesn’t it. It’s not that uncommon for a major school to lose to a mid major in basketball.

No sir I’m not okay with it. I’m telling you there is a massive amount of parity in basketball versus football. Year in year out mid majors knock Power 5 schools out on the regular. Kentucky fans rolled out of the bed pissed this morning. If LSU loses to some BS school in football it’s shocking. If we lose to a mid major in a college basketball game it does not shock me nearly as much, but yeah, I’m not okay with it. Bottom line I’m with you on LSU should beat up on a North Texas State. I’m calling a spade a spade and NTS has a pretty salty team. They got enough talent that if you screw around and take them lightly they will either beat you or keep the game close. UAB, Texas Arlington, North Texas State, a dozen other teams, they are better than us and it is what it is right now. They are one of the best teams to cover against the spread in the entire collegiate ranks so mathematically they are scrappy. LSU must recruit better. We need the caliber of men that the previous coach recruited.
