Nice to see Mammoth getting some love. That said, if you plan to go you'll have to plan ahead. Tours book up pretty quick, particularly ones that aren't just the typical walk through.

Indya Kinkannon?
I think you've confused the Mayor of Knoxville with the Mayor of Knox County.

Went to Hot Springs 3 times in January for sales meetings. Most depressing place I’ve ever been. It was so bad I personally wouldn’t chance a summer vacation there. ??

You must be writing this in jest. Texas had probably more Texas troops fighting in the Red River Campaign than La Confederate forces. Texas Cavalry as well as Mounted Infantry was a major portion of Gen Richard Taylor's combined forces. The Texans along with General Mouton's 18th La Infantry fought the Union army in the Bayou Teche area and routed the Yankees at Mansfield. Do they teach history at UL?

I live in Hot Springs and I get your sentiment. Hot Springs could be so much more than what it is.
But Terlingua? Who would choose to live in Terlingua on purpose? I couldn’t imagine what you’d do down there for entertainment. Much less your day to day needs.

Incomplete. They left off the NOLA interactive crime exhibit.

1st requirement for being "underrated" is that it is rated very low. That would be correct for "coastal Mississippi".

Fort Payne and that area is a big yes to live. Guntersville also. Overall a different atmosphere.
Ive been in Guntersville for about two years now. Great place if you have kids to raise and/or if you are a diehard fisherman

It protects itself from being overrated by continuing to suck and being rated low by those who visit. Really a genius plan.

For beach destinations, Fort Morgan is super underrated imo
If you like staring at rigs all day. We went once. Never again.

Fort Payne Alabama should be nowhere on this list. Now if you said guntersville, maybe. Even albertville. But not fort Payne. I would also think Huntsville should be before fort Payne. Fort Payne is just a place to pass through to get to Chattanooga.
DeSoto Falls and Little River Canyon make it worth the trip.

I think so - but in all honesty, it has been a year or so since i was up that way.
