We’re not going to be even close to where we were last year as far as hitting goes, so let’s temper our expectations. Hopefully the pitching will come around but it hasn’t been that impressive in the first 2 SEC games. We can’t win championships every year folks, keep that in mind and I think we’ll be ok.

It’s also the first SEC series on the road. We’ll be okay.

It’s mid-fricking-March.

We just had 9 runs on 11 hits on the road in the first SEC series. Relax baw

The four home runs and nine runs scored today suggest a different story to me. It seems like some of you expect 15+ runs every game, and it's very unrealistic.

If it took you until now to realize this, then nobody here can help you.

This was known at this time last year. That was an all-time lineup.

Give it time for them boys to grow. I like the fact that they came back and won today. Being on the road this weekend at MSST is big for our players. If they win the series that would be great. If you remember last year opening we lost the series to A&M. Everyone said there is no way we can win the CWS last year. Give it time let these boys grow.

Well it’s not all that shocking actually.
The offensive production LSU lost from CF, RF, 1B, and 2B is very significant.
We haven’t really improved at SS offensively either which isn’t helping.
The 35+ HR’s we got from Dugas and Jobert along with their RBI’s are going to be tough to find. We desperately need another outfielder to become an offensive threat.

I love where this team is at this point. They are no where near their ceiling yet and they just got a win on the road in front of 14,000 rowdy fans.

We had shitty arse games hitting the ball last year with the greatest lineup ever. It’s baseball chill and I see no reason to panic. We have a chance to win a road series to start SEC play.

Of course. This is a different team.

What needs to happen is a PLAYER is gonna have to step up and be the leader to not allow the intensity to drop for periods of time. Hopefully, this team will have that galvanizing moment sooner than
After.

Do you ever stop bitching and focusing on the negative? Your last 3 threads are all about shortcomings. When pitching had 20Ks early in March you were worried that it peaked too soon. Last night you declared it had peaked too soon. Now, you're bitching about hitting. You must be miserable.

Aren’t you the same guy that said yesterday pitching has peaked?

Now it’s

You may want to just stop watching the games if this is how it affects you after 20 games.
