That can be said for all but a dozen or so receivers yet these GMs can’t stop giving every receiver who hits 1k yards once in their career a $20 million+ a year contract. It’s stupid.
Right? Makes no sense. In another thread I posted a stat that there were 28 players over 1,000 yards receiving last year and almost 60 that finished between 500-999 yards receiving.
Finding guys that can get just over 500 yards and a couple TDs isn't hard and they aren't pricey. Finding an elite No. 1 or Kelce / Gronk type player is something completely different.
The Steelers have been pretty smart about handling the WRs over the years (aside from attitude issues). They usually bring in two or three young WRs within a couple of drafts, keep the one with the most potential or production and let the others walk after their first contract. It's been the same model for about 25 years now. Not sure if Khan is going to keep the same pattern, but it's been proven over the years.

Pickens is the better athlete no question and is definitely the guy you would take on Madden because you don’t have to deal with his attitude and effort issues.
You must have forgot that they were having those same "attitude and effort issues" with Dionte Johnson?

George Pickens is their obvious #1. Losing Johnson isn't a big loss. Just like how them losing Chase Claypool last year didn't effect anything.
Steelers always find\mold great WRs.

Because the two things Johnson doesn't bring with him are attitude and effort issues. Every wide receiver that has put on a Steeler uniform since Hines Ward retired has had attitude issues. The Steelers wide receiver room has been the attitude version of a Superfund site for twenty years now.

Mike Williams released
I wonder if they'll keep Allen, or release him as well? If he gets released, then I think they have to go WR with the 5th pick.

I think Allen is the one guy they weren't considering cutting. From what I'd read, they'd trade Bosa before dealing with Allen.

One hour until Ridley signs with jags

I’m sure that would be a hard sell for Herbert, plus the value on a trade wouldn’t be worth much for an older WR with a high salary
With Mack staying, could definitely see Bosa getting moved, but I could also see it happening post draft. Teams are holding on tightly to the draft picks this season

Calvin Ridley and Mason Rudolph to the Titans

Sources: The #Titans are signing #Jaguars star WR Calvin Ridley, completing their FA with a splash. A stunner!! The 29-year old Ridley gets a 4-year, $92M deal with $50M fully guaranteed on a contract negotiated by @DavidMulugheta and Reza Hesam of @AthletesFirst.

The #Titans have agreed to terms with former #Steelers QB Mason Rudolph on a one-year deal worth up to $3.62 million, source says. After six seasons with the #Steelers that ended on a high note with solid play down the stretch, Rudolph gets a fresh start in Tennessee.

Quite a gamble for them. Bet it won’t work out.

Generational wealth for 4 years of work. I have no problem with Calvin making this move. He has put up with a lot of bull in Atlanta. And Jacksonville still has to send Atlanta a 3rd round pick.

31-35 million a year easy.

Surprisingly, Washington has had a great FA period.
Adding Bobby Wagner
Bobby Wagner agrees to one-year deal with Commanders
After they draft Jayden Daniels, I’ll see y’all in New Orleans for the super bowl.
