Why does he have his corners within ten yards of the receiver here?

Will be nice to see this on 3rd and 2 instead of playing 10 yards off.

This is crazy. If his DBs get in the way of the WR catching the ball they will be flagged right?

That's it. I was editing mine to show the one I found, same as yours. But I got a call so i posted my edit after you had updated.

It's a short clip but I like what I'm seeing there.

Poor Stamps keeps looking back in bewilderment that he's being instructed to play up on his man

You're going to have to play man in this defense. There's no getting around that.

I think Stamps and Toviano have the physicality and toughness to press at the line

What do you mean? Are you saying we can’t play zone? We have to play mostly man? Or we have to play some man? Because if it’s the last one, we did that all last year.

The head coach has already explained what the problem was last year, and it was not scheme. The problem was that they could not get the players to properly execute what was called.

What he means is that Blake Baker calls a lot of press man in his defense. WHile you are correct that BK said that the issue wasn't the scheme itself but communicating the needs to the players, he also said that the structure of Baker's defense is different than what we ran last year.

Maybe it's just me but seems if the DB would start pumping their feet right before the snap much like breaking down on an open field runner they might have some advantage over a quick receiver that knows where he is going at the snap.

The combination of playing off to keep the play in front you and then still not being able to tackle was just a special treat I'll never forget.

Watching Raymond going over how to use your hand the check the receiver coming off the line and the CB having to be told again makes me think something that basic was not effectively communicated to them last season. WTH

Turning your head is an effect of learning to recognize the tells a receiver has. It can also be effective communication on the field but that gets difficult in very loud stadiums

You can trust coach speak all you want, but firing the DC was him explaining that the problem was the guy doing the scheming.
