Me like “covering” a receiver more than “watching” a receiver. If you want to watch, then buy a ticket.

The combination of playing off to keep the play in front you and then still not being able to tackle was just a special treat I'll never forget

That was a lot of fun wasn’t it? My poor dog has some PTSD from me screaming “Make the freakin’ tackle!!!!!” more times than I can count……

The head coach has already explained what the problem was last year, and it waecute on the field s not scheme. The problem was that they could not get the players to properly execute what was called.
The SCHEME was too difficult for the players to comprehend and execute on the field with the lights on. (Fact, not Opinion)

Then he should have called something different.

After a long enough amount of time, if whatever the coach was calling isn't working, then it's on him to make changes and try something different.

Will be nice to see this on 3rd and 2 instead of playing 10 yards off.

As long as our DLine continues to pass block, we should be OK.

We had the dumbest staff in the country last year. Total ineptness

That is contrary to what the head coach said. Maybe he's lying. What he said was that the defensive coordinator was a very smart coach. He said he had a good scheme. He said the trouble was getting the players to execute the scheme.

Watching Raymond going over how to use your hand the check the receiver coming off the line and the CB having to be told again makes me think something that basic was not effectively communicated to them last season. WTH
I hate to appear to be constantly defending last year's coaches, because they were terrible. But Derek Stingley did not know how to do this when he left LSU. He constantly turned his hips before the receiver, committed, putting himself in a position of defenseless when the receiver crossed over him. Alabama and Florida absolutely abused Stingley that year. The pros trained that out of him his first year.

It seems like an easy concept, but it is extremely difficult to do. There is no time to think. It has to be reflexive.
