Do you think these drugs are new? They have been out for over a decade so yes we do know what they do long term.

Something to consider - it may take over 40 years before a black box warning will be be issued for a drug, like in the case of benzodiazepines.

Once the FDA deems a product 'safe and effective' they can be very slow to admit otherwise.

Semaglutides were approved for medical use in 2017 and approved for weight loss in 2023.

First glp1 agonist were approved in 2005 as glp-1ra. All these others are built on that. They have been working with this peptide since the 80s, they just didn’t know what all it was about directive on until later years

So pretty new and really new for every house wife to be taking to lose 10 pounds.

Nobody is doing that. 25-30 lobs sure but that may be 20-30% of a females bodyweight.

But stop exaggerating

Even if this is true, you do realize that glp1 have huge health benefits at a low dose besides the fat loss right? So are we going to be pissed people take statins, blood pressure medication, medicine to control blood sugar etc? Why this one drug?

Or just find a peptide company that has it tested through third party and get it for Pennie’s on the dollar compared to the auto inject plus you can control dosing much better

fricking laughable the dude said “Tucker Carlson had on an expert”

A) Tucker is a giant douche who will have anyone on to say anything to make money.

B) I don’t give a frick if the guy worked as ceo of a company, doesn’t change the fact of what the studies show

C) this is the same shite but opposite as with covid shot. All the experts said it was safe and effective yet all the data said otherwise. I’ll stick with the data, aka the real science not the made up science the pussies on both sides of the political aisle want you to believe

Because it's not the drug people get pissed about.

Exactly

This is the same kind of shite you see when someone post a pic on social media or Reddit where they look good…comments are full of 110 lbs guys screaming steroids. Sometimes that’s the case, sometimes it’s not but the jealousy is oozing through the screen on those comments

I'm sure you a difference between a diabetic being on a statin and an overweight person with an a1c of 7.2 being on ozempic to lose weight. Right?

I mean, right?

Not really sure what the health benefits are but I’m just pointing out that the people I know aren’t using it for anything other than weight control and they’re not obese.

Exactly you have no clue on the benefits but judge them for taking it

It has shown huge promise in the field of longevity but also

Benefits the heart, blood sugar(A1C), mental benefits and it is anti catabolic

And 20-30lbs over weight on a female who should weigh 120, is very detrimental to their overall health long term

Not even gonna get into it’s ability to curb addictions, especially alcohol and smoking

Most don’t have a clue what the A1C range is nor what their score is

Why does it matter to you? Who says anything when dudes jumping on gear to bulk? If it makes these people look and feel better, why not take advantage of what’s available? I really think misery loves company and allot of people just want fattys to stay fat and miserable just like they fricking are.

You know what else does that? Exercise, an improved diet, improving mental health, a healthier lifestyle, etc.

So now people using their insurance is the problem? Yall are incredible. Never change.

Would you rather that person use their insurance for BP meds, Cholesterol meds, DM2 meds, future heart caths and/or bypass surgeries, and eventually future dialysis needs? We’re talking 10’s of millions throughout one lifetime. The math isn’t hard… at all.

Id rather that person change their lifestyle than just default to big pharma and the healthcare industry to fund their weight loss.

I'll ask the same question here but surely you see the different between a diabetic being on a statin to help their cholesterol and a person with an a1c of 7.2 being on a diabetic medication to lose weight. Right? I mean, you see that difference and just don't care or do you not see it?
