He was +44 tonight. That’s absurd

He's been much more aggressive crashing the boards and defending the post. Still gets lost on the perimter some time but his defense post All-Star break is night and day.

Again, TMIII is the difference between 1st round exit and potential conference finals.

100% agree.
When he’s this Trey, we are an extremely difficult team to beat.

Love the fact that him and Z are playing more together.

I agree. But ill add Herb to that list as well. Teams HAVE to account for him offensively now.

I don't think they do. Per 36 minutes Trey is taking 10 3s, CJ 9.2, Herb 4.4. He'd need to really up his volume to have gravity. One of the highlights I saw posted from last night showed Trey's man sagging into the lane to try and cut off a Zion drive, so Zion kicked it out to a wide open Trey for a 3.

They may stop ignoring Herb, but they are always going to react to Zion in the paint as a bigger threat.

yeah I'd really love for Herb's 3PAs to get up towards 6

Meh... herb is playing perfect basketball right now. Only taking really good shots, and as a result, making 45% of them.

I'm good with what he's doing.

I think that's just a bad team you saw there.
Trey was 7-10 from 3 at that point, and they left him wide arse open. I don't care who has the ball, you dont' leave a guy who's 7-10 from 3. That's just stupid defense.

I'm not saying they are going to stop worrying about Zion, but if Trey is going to be that hot, or CJ for that matter, they aren't going to continue to leave them open.

Grady Dick just kept completely leaving Trey entirely over and over and over. You can tell it wasn't part of the scheme because no one was rotating to help.
