I don’t see how Sampson stays off the field

RB room needs depth as well

I will also throw my remote through the TV if Whitt Weeks rides the bench again in favor of Greg Penn. Thank god the abomination that was Omar Speights is no longer on the team.

Whit Weeks needs to start.
Anderson didn't do anything to warrant a starting position.
Hilton hasn't been consistent.
I think Sampson makes a huge leap this season. He has it all.
I agree with everything else, but I think Hilton was tearing it up at the end of last season. he looked like a WR1 for LSU. I think he breaks out big this season.

The same way Trey Palmer did; there were just better guys in front of him. If Sampson lives up to his hype he still might not start this season. Hilton and Lacy are studs, and I've heard good things about Daniels. I don't see Anderson holding him off.

He is still fighting. Last I saw was something about starting a new kind of treatment & he was responding well.
Safe to say I think we can remove his name from any depth chart
maybe we can still include him as a player on injured reserve.

Huh? In what games did he tear it up? Not saying he can’t be good, but to say he was tearing it up and looked like a WR1 at the end of last season just isn’t true.

Two transfer DTs are a must if we want to compete next year. Ridiculous how thin we are there
Baker at Missouri ran 2 DT, 2 DE, 2LB, 2 CB and 3 Safeties. He did a great job of moving folks around, as to Formation, Down and Distance, and personnel. I want to get a look at what he does in the Spring.
Baker likes an attacking defense, something LSU was known as. Been a while since we’ve seen it.

The biggest question remains, is Peyton Todd finally ready to take over punting duties?

Will Khai Prean move to HB for the Spring; will he move back to WR; or will he stay at CB (as with the bowl game)?
LSU has updated their roster on website. Khai is still listed as a WR #82

Awful at DT and it doesn’t look like this next class will help much at the position. That position is key to winning in the trenches

Plenty of RBs listed on roster for spring.
Added some walkons for extra bodies.
7 RBs not including Durham or Holly

Although he will always be a Tiger, Greg Brooks is not playing this year and perhaps ever.

They got De’Myrion Johnson to enroll early? He is listed as #96 DT on roster

The starting OL could be the best in the SEC...maybe the country. For a (relatively) inexperienced QB that is huge. I suspect much of the spring will be spent developing depth as the coaches know what they have in the starters (outside of center).
The TEs should be a bigger part of the offense because Nussmeier is less risk averse than Daniel. I don't say that as a good or bad thing, just that Nussmeier is willing to make a wider variety of throws than Daniels in tighter windows. Particularly over the middle where TEs make the biggest impact. I don't think it was an accident Taylor had his highest number of catches/targets in the bowl game.
The depth at RB has suddenly become a bit concerning. I expect to see walkon's get a lot of reps in the spring to limit the wear on the two top line guys (Williams and Jackson).
WR has the biggest boom/bust potential. At his best, Lacy is every bit as athletic as Nabers. He just isn't consistent like Nabers was. Everyone else has a lot of POTENTIAL, but no one you can definitively say "that guy will be a big time player" this season.
Everything is kind of up in the air on defense. I can't imagine a new DC will watch the tape and think LSU has a better ILB than Weeks. As frustrating as it is for fans, Perkins is still somewhat of a "tweener". He's probably a bit too small to be a complete ILB. But if you just have him as an edge rusher teams can somewhat scheme around him. It will be interesting to see how Baker decides to use him because at his best he is a complete game-wrecker. The secondary is still a big concern. I'd also like to see them slim Sai'vion Jones back down. Maybe that hurts his prospects as a pro, but last year he was almost useless. He couldn't get to the QB from his new position and was too slow in his lateral movement to consistently make plays on the edge. The year prior he was an excellent situational pass rusher.

Seems they’ve added another. Maybe as walkon
#91 Jalen Thomas, DT (from Memphis) is on roster now

Not sure why I’m getting downvoted
Daniels, Lacy and Thomas are all better than Hilton

Who will be the four casualties to get to 85?
IMO, Brooks will end up not counting against the 85...on scholarship still but medically retired or whatever. I don't believe Ausberry is on an athletic scholarship...his college essentially paid for as the son of an LSU employee. Dibert is an obvious candidate since Ramos handled KO very well when Dibert was hurt. The 4th is Ibieta or Langlois or one of the many TEs. I know Kelly loves TEs but c'mon...5 TEs is at least 1 too many.
And there will have to be more than 4 removed since everyone here knows that LSU will pick up at least 1, probably 2, players in the May portal.
