I've seen bitty ball coaches with better game plans than the plan they had for the Iowa game last year. Iowa ran the same play over and over and shot layups and Dawn never adjusted. A very simple pick and roll or pin down for CC resulted in layups for the roll man all night. Most middle school coaches could make an effective adjustment for that.

Dawn Staley does not engender warm feelings from other fan bases. But neither does Kim Mulkey I guess.
I can admit she has done a great job at South Carolina even if I don't like the Gamecocks. Sports media organizations are always captives of the moment but with the WBB media, they have been talking South Carolina up most of the season. Any undefeated regular season is notable. Back-to-back is spectacular, no doubt.

You do realize we did win the National title the year before LSU right? in WBB we win NC's enough that we dont have to hang a regular season banner. But yeah going undefeated is really nice.

Without a doubt the fact that Iowa took care of SC last year paved the way for LSU. If we would have played SC in the finals we would've gotten beat.
