Any Classic comedy. I saw the original “Anchorman” in a movie theater and there is something electric about watching a great comedy in a theater. It was one of the best movie experiences for me.
Saw Anchorman in Fort Walton Beach theater with a couple buddies.
One of my all time favorite movie theater experiences though was The Hangover. My brother and I were working for one of our grandfather’s friends in the summers shuffling temporary school rooms on the coast. Tough work, but lots of hours and overtime. We basically funded our day to day college lives by just working through hell in the summers. So the boss had a grandson that was like a high school sophomore, really introverted and sheltered. The family wanted him to “get his hands dirty” so to speak, and recruited us to kind of introduce him to the real world. He worked on our crew, roomed with us in ratty arse hotels, lowest man on the totem pole type work.
We took that kid to see The Hangover, and I thought he was going to die. Obviously a hilarious movie by itself, but it was as much fun watching him as it was watching the movie.

LOTR. I always hear y’all talking about how great it was in theaters. I was too young when they came out and want to feel that experience.

I’ve never seen Ghostbusters on the big screen. I really enjoyed the special edition Star Wars movies as a kid.
I’ve said before Super Troopers and Austin Powers Spy who Shagged Me are my two all time favorite movie experiences. Not the best movies I’ve seen on the big screen, but experiencing a movie for the first time with an audience in a memorable way.
I’ve never laughed as hard as I did in Super Troopers. I almost started choking during the bear fricker scene because I couldn’t breathe. Everyone in the theater was going nuts.
And in Austin Powers when they have Fat Bastard stool sample and Austin pours it as his coffee, there chuckling going on until some lady yells out “DONT DO IT AUSTIN!” Theater lost it after that.

imagine being in a theater with 100 or more people during the principal's office scene!

Event Horizon
Everything scary about that movie is lost the moment you leave a theater.

Casablanca. A classic classic! Great story, great cast, awesome dialog, what’s not to love about it? It belongs on the silver screen again for all the generations!

Aliens is still my favorite theater experience ever.
Packed theater, amazing plot, slow burn in the beginning followed by an adrenaline rush with ups and owns throughout.
Even though a sequel, it is one of the rare ones that exceeded the original (imo).
Some other movies I wish I could watch again for the first time in the theater.
True Lies
LOTR
Jurassic Park
Infinity War
Nightmare on Elm Street
T2
Star Wars
Austin Powers

The original Star Wars trilogy should re-release in theaters every 10 years.

the first I thought of was 2001: A Space Odyssey.
That movie put me to sleep in the theater, so a hard pass from me as it was slow and boring.

Probably Star Trek The Wrath of Khan for me
Got to do that at the midnight movie around 1998 in BR and it was a lot of fun.
One unintentional piece of humor was the film getting misaligned at one point to where Shatner was at the top of the screen and his toupee was at the bottom.

I’d like to see saving private Ryan in theaters just to see the shock on everyone’s face during the opening beach scene

My Vote as well because there is no way in hell a Movie like that will ever be made again in Today's world.

Smokey and The Bandit :
Watched this film with my dad and cousins many times. The CB world isn’t strong like it was during the 1970’d but this movie delivered in so many ways.
