quote:

In a filing with the Appellate Division, a mid-level appeals court, Trump's lawyers asked to temporarily stay the judgment during his appeal, saying he would suffer "irreparable harm" if James were free to sell his real estate assets to raise capital.

The lawyers also said the "exorbitant and punitive amount of the judgment coupled with an unlawful and unconstitutional blanket prohibition on lending transactions would make it impossible to secure and post a complete bond."

They said a $100 million bond, together with Trump's "vast" real estate holdings and ongoing oversight by the court-designated monitor for the Trump Organization, would be more than sufficient to secure the judgment.

No victims. None. None at all.

It needs to be repeated over and over again when these eye watering fines are discussed.

James should be pretty frickin wary about taking any actions against Trump's assets. Wrongful seizure is a real thing.

Trump should just get it from the pentagon before it’s cycled back to the politicians.

It’s a damn shame that they take your money just for committing fraud.

It is too bad the appeal bond it can not be set aside entirely. After all, there is a strong 8th Amendment argument to be made.

Crazy world.

They’ll take it.
Never give them what they want. Negotiate. Y’all people pay retail for what you purchase? Nonsense!

If President Trump continues to lead Potatus in the polls they will arrest him, and throw him in jail.

No way will they allow President Trump to get in that Oval Office.

Classic Commie tactic......

Trump’s going have to sell a hell of a lot more gold sneakers!

But seriously, He has stiffed so many contractors and put them out of business over the years that some of this feels like Karma.

It would be hilarious to see the left’s heads explode if Putin loaned the whole amount to him.

Wait, so he not only has to put up 455 million cash, he isn’t allowed to borrow that cash against his assets either? So instead of getting a loan using property as collateral (which he could easily repay when the ruling is overturned or at worst pay it back over time)he has to either produce liquid cash or sell assets? That’s complete horseshite

This should be beyond party politics. This is all seriously concerning to any true American. The judge should be disbarred and honestly I’d have no issue with imprisonment to set an example for those who want to abuse our justice system
