We at least have bodies at CB to at least have improvement there. The DT position is so bare it’s not even funny.

Neither was Joe Burrow.

That is some really good news. Happy for him that he's going to make a full recovery.

He turned into a serviceable No. 2 guy in a good defense. Problem is he was asked to be the No. 1 guy in a bad defense.

He improved greatly as the season progressed and before he got hurt.

With our Dline and their lack of "push", PP would have looked ordinary...

They are loaded, so maybe he’s an SEC quality starter, but he isn’t an LSU caliber CB1. If he was he’d be the CB1 at Ohio State.

So he didn't start at OSU as a rF so he cannot possibly be good at all? That's your logic? He's 2 years older with different coaching staff. But he CANNOT be any better at all than he was as a 19 year old? He's peaked at 19? This is your stance?

He wasn’t that good healthy. We need to bring in elite corners from high school.

You and some others see the big picture. It is amazing to me that many here think of units in isolation. LSU finished 11th in the SEC in sacks. Doesn't take a genius to determine that the lack of a pass rush and even a "middle push" allowed the opposing QB to just sit back there ordering extra mustard on his hot dog as he scanned the field. The secondary guys did a better job than some claimed. I saw very few busts but you can't cover receivers forever. And yes, as you said and I have said, it was night and day for Alexander's improvement. It was due completely to better ball awareness. Players like Kevin Toliver II never learned to look back for the ball. Zy Alexander did and it showed during the season.

Happy for Zy keep working young man, Corey’s biggest project is Stamps looks all world in practice game time lost on the field but he does have experience just has to get it together.

So instead of being #118 in the nation in the secondary we would have be 90th?

That point would be better if there was only one Cb on a defense. In today’s game there are three. Could there be three superstar CB at Ohio State? That seems doubtful.

Nice play turned season-ending when Zy decided to return the interception instead of taking a knee or falling down.
