On January 27, 2023 in Florida, an officer observed a man driving a golf cart on a public roadway. The golf cart was multiple cars in front of the officer, and before he could get close, the golf cart turned into a gated community.

For those who cannot read, the golf cart was clearly being driven outside the gated community (otherwise, how do you "turn INTO it."

The posters here are hilarious. Black kids running around on ATV's down roads in NOLA should be jailed and do hard time. Some pompous, entitled white a-hole should get a break because he was toddling along in a golf cart.

We have ATV's and golf carts come by the house on the parish road. No problem, unless it is some arse on an ATV racking of a ton of noise. It happened once - I knew the guy and told him he needed to quit revving up his ATV by the house. He was cool and we had no further problems.

And they may have. But we will never know. End of the day, he broke the law. Yes, some times things are kind of petty but the right and wrong needle points to wrong when you knowingly or unknowingly break a law.

Pay the fine, have a glass of wine and relax.

The guy starts out by saying you cannot do anything because I'm on my private property. Cop says the violation took place outside the subdivision.

Exactly, one is inherently more dangerous, but both are not legal. I would bet a dollar that this is not the first time the golf carts are a problem out side this community.

I'd bet you'd have a different answer if it was a black kid on an ATV on Canal Street in NOLA.

Swerving in and out of traffic, faster than the speed limit, and likely over the noise ordinance?

Arrested for driving a golf cart in a gated community. There is no place on this earth for someone who is a part of that community to get arrested for that. Terrible abuse of power.

He was using the golf car OUTSIDE of the gated community, the cop followed him in and all the way to his house.

Also he wasn’t arrested for that, he was arrested for all of the other tomfoolery including resisting.

I swear I don’t know how some of you people have made it to adulthood being so dumb.

I never understand these tards that don't just wait for their day in court where you can argue your case in front of a judge instead of a meat head, if the cop even shows up to court at all.

Day in court for what? To see body cam footage of you turning off the public roadway you were driving on and then paying your fine.

Christ, you did it, no one made you do it. Pull the buggy over, smile and take your medicine. Statistically proven that if you act polite and tell the cop you are an idiot you get off 73.7 percent of the time.

I think I heard him say he went to pick his son up at school/give him a ride. Probably does it daily out on a public roadway since it's "just down the street"

Well, that was dumb.

Nice example of how not to handle being pulled over.

Just a reminder that there's no legal duty for cops to do anything. If the cops had more important things to attend to (which I hope they do), they could have just given him a warning and had him be on his way.

Cop initiated a legal traffic stop, man refused to provide ID, all while his annoying wife told officer he couldn’t do what he was doing in broken English. Supervisor arrives (requested by driver) gives man one more chance to ID, he doesn’t, they initiated cuffing, wife gets hands on with a cop or two(pushing/grabbing) both end up in cuffs for a ride to the clink. Kids have to go to responsible adult since both parents are going to jail.
Guy would’ve gotten a warning if he just gave his Id one of the 20+ times he was asked.
