Just curious, how many people are making that claim. I know Chris Langan and Marilyn vosSavant try to trade and monetize their purported IQ; however are there lots of others? (IIRC, you do work in this area)

IMHO, what you had was the “third way” people from the 90s use “conspiracy theory” as a rhetorical tool, and certain politicians take it further then reasonable boundaries It’s kind of wasted language and cliche at this point

I've never met a person who I considered smart who brags about their IQ score. It's usually the exact opposite. Some dumbass bragging about their 99 IQ saying, "I aced it!"

Although, college education isn't a good measure of people's IQ's anyway. I've known many with a college degree but limited common sense.

There’s a lovely book called The Bell Curve by Richard Herrnstein and Charles Murray. About 850 pages of small print. Everyone here with an IQ over 100 ought to read it. Get it now before Amazon bans it for supposed racism and bigotry (facts that hurt their feelings).
The bottom line is that there is an extremely strong correction between IQ and a person’s likelihood of favorable outcomes- particularly with respect to financial earnings and things such as staying out of prison.
Also worth mentioning is that atheists are 6 IQ points higher than theists worldwide, and that IQ rates of populations can predict rates of atheism.
Religiousness vs IQ
Atheism rates highly correlate to IQ
Religiosity correlates inversely with intelligence
For the record, I am a staunch fiscal and constitutional conservative atheist.
