Nah

I worked at a sleep study place one summer and some of the studies we kept people awake. At the 40 hour mark people would go insane pretty much. Most tapped out well before that. Nobody came close to 3 days

Was actually a really cool job. Was amazing how much sleep mattered for cognitive function. The difference in 5 hours of sleep vs 7 was massive

When I cant get to sleep, I find a semi boring podcast and listen on my airpods( volumn very low). Only use 1 pod in ear that is not on pillow. Works for me.

I sleep 1 hour at a time lately, then I have to pee again. Sometimes when I get up in the morning and need a hot shower for nausea I will pee before stepping into the shower, then the shower triggers a 2nd time and sometimes before I get out a 3rd.(I drink a lot of hot tea for my stomach)

Do you see a Urologist? If not you should.

My urologist buddy says each guy should get 1 or 2 night time piss passes no matter how much fluid your drink. If you get up nightly 3 or more times to pee, he wants to check you out and see what's happening. It could be an enlarged prostate or some type of degeneration that can lead to uro incontinence if not treated early. Plus he wants to do anything he can to help guys get more sleep.

Three pages and no one said 3.50???

3.50 is however, often accurate for me. I don't know why we sleep so shitty the older we get. But it sucks.

Sleep is the number one thing for health. Get sleep. You will not be around much longer if you are getting 3-5 hours a night at your age. At your age you should not be ingesting any calories 3 hours before betime because it interferes with your deep sleep. During deep sleep your cerebral spinal fluid travels up from your spine into your brain and washing out all the misfolded proteins and cellular waste products. If you are not getting deep sleep you should start seeing cognitive deficits in the years to come. Do everything you can to live a high quality of life. Lose weight if necessary. Stop eating earlier in the day. Love yourself and get healthy again. It is worth it. Read Dr. Matthew Walkers book "Why We Sleep" and Russell Fosters book "Life Time". Don't do stressful things 3 hours before sleep. Limit blue light at night. Limit action movies late at night. When I was younger this didn't effect me but now that I am older it does. I have had an Oura ring for the past 4 years and it has shown me that my behavior and environment has a huge impact on my sleep results.

3 to 4 hours a night. If I get more than 4 then I start having weird nightmares.

Boomer here…. 73 yrs old. I usually go to sleep about 12 midnight and pee before sleeping. I’ll usually wake at 4 am to pee and many times have a hard time getting back to sleep due to my mind racing and thinking about things I need to do.

Also… my tinnitus is really loud at night so I turn on my bedside shortwave radio and tune into white noise to help mask the ringing in my ears.

So…. I usually get 5 to 6 hrs sleep and end up taking a nap (30 min to an hour) during the day. I have taken a piece of a full spectrum cbd thc gummie and it really helps. I take maybe a 1/4 of a gummie. I do that when tinnitus is exceptionally loud.

Go to bed between 12 and 1 every night

Rarely ever wake up to pee. I pee right before bed

Wake up at 7-730 every morning- no alarm

There are 2 secrets to good sleep that I didn’t figure out til my early 40’s-

1) Exercise EVERY day- I walk for an hour and lift weights for 10 minutes EVERY DAY.

2) Absolutely NO food of any kind after 9pm. Ever. Whenever time you go to sleep, eat nothing the last 3-4 hours before that.

When I stray from these rules, I notice that sleep issues begin, and they go away when I go back to the rules

this. All these takes of going on a couple hours of sleep are really far fetched in my opinion

I go to bed about 10:30. Out of bed about 6:15. So probably 7-8 hours a night minus a few wakes for four or five minutes each for me

When I was in college…. many years ago… I could sleep 8 to 10 hours easily. Getting an 8 am class was the kiss of death. lol
