What’s better than febreze?

My SIL just bought a second hand couch that seems really nice but has an order coming from it. In my past experience febreze covers the Oder for a short amount of time. I’m wondering if there’s anything better out there?

Febreeze, the order/oder eliminator

Get it steam cleaned. You gotta get the funk out, not cover it up.

Steam clean then shut it in a closed space with an OZONE generator running for a few hours.

Steam clean, ozonate, OdoBan. The ozone part is a bit tough, good ozone generators aren't cheap and then you have to create a dedicated place to use it and keep off-limits until finished. OdoBan is a great product though, way better than Febreeze.

My sister-in-law made me a believer in OdoBan. She is the cat lady of Slidell and at one time had 14 cats and 7 dogs living inside her house and that included multiple cat litter boxes throughout the house.
No matter how much she vacuumed the floors and padded furniture, there was always pet hair, but as far as smell, it was pretty much non-existent-------but she mopped EVERY DAY.

Yeah, that many animals in a house is not my idea of a good thing. That woman spends at least 4 hours a day dealing with that many animals between feeding/water, bathing, washing bedding, cleaning multiple cat litter boxes and then cleaning the house.
Also, the amount of money spent on food alone is beyond stupid let alone the vet bills associated with having that many animals.
Add to that the fact she hardly ever leaves the house for more than a few hours at a time and never stays gone overnight. The cats are OK with the litter boxes, but the dogs will pee and crap everywhere if not around to let them out.

this ^^^^^^^
plus get a shop vac deep into all the cracks to suck up the kids french fries and whatever other food items that are down inside the seams of the couch under the cushions.

I just discoved one of my small sectional sofas has zippered cushions.
did some spring cleaning and washed them all in cold water low heat.
some carpet cleaners for pets have upolstry cleaner hoses.
other than these things the dollar store has a product called urine removal from dogs and cats.

There is something called 'Smoker Choker' made by Mule Head.
Removes just about any odor from furniture, carpet, seats...
I have a bottle of it. Best stuff I have ever used to get rid of smells. Made in southern Arkansas.

I saw products like you described in Auto Zone. For home and car.

Its great stuff. Very reasonably priced as well. 16 dollars for a 32oz spray bottle.
Another product is 'No Mo Bugz', cleans splattered bugs off the windshield and front of my truck very quickly. Spray it on, wipe with just a little effort and rinse. Good stuff.
Made in Pine Bluff, AR.
