Is that one approved by the OT? I hear that it's miserable if you get shingles. Is the vax bad?

I haven't but others have told me that I need to since I'm 64 and had chicken pox as a child.

I did, I never had the chicken pox as a child so I got it this summer. It’s two shots over a few weeks

can confirm.
Got shingles on my arm in September. Still have nerve pain as a result.
Reluctant to get the shot because a shot is likely what triggered it to begin with.

I got the single shot shingles vaccine when I turned 50. Now there is a better vaccine that requires two shots. Both times I was puny for about 36 hours.
I know adults that have had the shingles and it was misery and painful.

No but I’ve had shingles, wasn’t that bad. Just made you feel kinda weird where it was on the body.
It can be really bad but I’ve heard that’s in rare cases. Not sure if that’s true or not. I got it when I was 27 on my hips.
I think you have to be 65+ to get the vaccine free, otherwise it’s super expensive.

My grandpa had it and it looked like a truck ran over him and left tire tracks.

My wife got the first shot on Monday. She was very sore for about 2 days but it better now.

Get the shot...shingles hurts like a mother.

Shingles is herpes with a cherry top.
Jk, the part on top is burning itchy scabs that bleed and throb constantly and that’s on a good day. So, get the vaccination. Or don’t.
If you need anything, you know who to ask

I am to the point where I don't trust any vaccine right now. The risk of side effects make them undesirable.

It’s painful but not for long and not as painful as having the shingles

I've had shingles and it was the worst pain I've ever felt. It started in my armpit & I initially thought it was just a rash from changing deodorant so I ignored it for far too long. By the time I had it looked at it spread around my back and chest and I was in such immense pain even the air from the vents would cause it to hurt. I had to take a frick load of pain pills for over a month as the meds cleared it up. I still occasionally have random pains in my back that feel like it's about to kick back up.
Long story short, get the shingles vaccine. You really really don't want shingles.

I've gotten the vax. Never had shingles, but my son had a bad case of it a couple of years ago. He missed several weeks from work and was miserable with the pain.

I got the two shots. Have known adults with shingles and they were absolutely miserable.

Yes, Shingles is miserable.
Somehow, I got it at 34 or 35. My right chest, shoulder and arm if I recall. It SUCKED!
I considered getting the vaccine if I was going to be eligible but then it became obvious that our government lies to us about everything. Personally, I don't trust it and would not get the shingles vaccine even though I have had shingles and the experience is subpar.
