As an O-T baller, I have both but familiarize yourself with the controllers and make a decision off of that feel.

I’ve maintained a 31 season dynasty w multiple schools on ncaa 09 on a ps2 slim since summer 19. It has always been on my mind and I have a very large spreadsheet. When I moved to Utah in 2020, I triple saved and put all 3 memory cards in bubble wrap.
I am 42 years old w a solid job.
That’s how much I love the NCAA series.

I’ll 1 up you. I’ve been playing NCAA 2012 on a 360 since its release. It has been my go-to 30 minute dopamine hit for 12 years. Multiple completed dynasties, my player, etc. I will be immediately buying a new console bundled with this game

Interesting. Just saw an interview with an EA executive where they said if a player chooses not to opt in, fans will not be allowed to custom design that player.
Are they removing roster editing entirely?

EA Sports has finalized its name, image and likeness plan and will begin the opt-in process. Up to 85 players per school will initially appear on rosters in the game, which comes out this summer.
All athletes who opt in to have their name, image and likeness appear will eventually receive $600, plus a copy of the game that's typically valued at $70. Athletes would remain in the game for the entirety of their careers but could opt out of future editions if they choose. Athletes who remain in the game for multiple years will be paid annually, and players who transfer will continue to be compensated as long as they are on a roster.
If a player chooses to not be in the game, Holt said EA Sports will create a generic avatar based on the traditional strength or weakness of a position over the past decade for that school. Holt said they want to "make sure the program still represents the integrity and strength of how that team plays and what that program has done over the past recent history."
Gamers will be allowed to create their own players, but Holt said the game will not allow an opted-out player to be created and inserted into the game.
"I won't reveal how we're dealing with that," Holt said. "But yeah, you won't be able to edit that."

This game will be a massive failure if you can’t manipulate the roster if half the well know players inevitably turn down the measly $600.
Also rumors are we will not get the name or likeness of the coaches.

So can't edit rosters. This game is going to be awful if true

So for example they’re saying if they have QB #5 listed, we can’t change him to Jayden Daniels?

Wouldn't that involve having the player's name somewhere in the code which I would imagine you would need their permission to do?

if the bottom right logos are the primaries, why did UCF get their knight head?

It's probably just me, but I literally never edit players in NCAA.

I used to be religious about making sure each roster was as close to accurate as possible.
Now, I couldn't give a shite. My favorite part of the game was recruiting and building programs, so the current players mean absolutely nothing to me. I enjoyed following the AI-generated players (even those that I recruited but didn't sign with me) much more than seeing if Tim Tebow won the heisman like he did in real life.

That's pretty much me as well. I actually preferred having jersey numbers as the default player names because it is easier to track when my incoming guys start to take over the program.
