What's the largest check you've ever written?

42000.00 ...my knees got weak!

wow, you are rich.

the largest check I have ever wrote was $40,000. And it was to move money between banks. The originating bank wanted to charge me $75 for a wire transfer which I found fricking absurd.

That doesn't count. You're not paying anyone.

It was not what was the largest check you ever wrote to pay someone, just what is the largest.

If you talk about paying, I am going with 27,000 (although it was a cashiers) for my house.

I have had a several go over $200k but that was just to pay my material bills at the lumber yard. The highest was during Hurrican Rita repair work, but I can't remember the exact number.

When I worked for a casino company and we did a private debt offering to raise $160 million I was one signature on a wire transfer for over $92 million. The $92 million was paid to a transfer agent to retire pre-existing notes.

I always wanted to write one for nine or more figures, but I only made it to high eight figures even though it was someone else's money.
