I would think that makes the difference between open carry and concealed carry.

Governor Elect Jeff Landry said in response on Wednesday, “I have always said we are going to pass constitutional carry. I support further strengthening the rights of our citizens and their ability to exercise their Second Amendment right. As a police officer, I never went to a crime scene in which the perpetrator had a concealed carry permit.”

Sidenfreud Gautreaux won’t be happy about this…

Louisiana’s session opens March 11. McCormick prefiled the bill 5 days ago. It’ll will more than likely go into affect in August or Jan 1, 2025. They need to address the clause for concealed carry for parades, currently even with a permit, you cannot carry at a parade, and as we’ve seen, parades are large targets for mass shootings.

Okay fine, whose paying the $500? So I have to fork up $500 for a constitutional right?

I let my conceal carry lapse in anticipation of a change in the law.
I appreciate the training and instruction and believe it’s something every gun owner should do but I got really tired of the paperwork.
I open carry now.

Let's hope the Senate won't water it down so badly that it's neutered.

The guys who teach the conceal carry classes, mostly current or retired police, do not want this to pass because it destroys their side hustle. I spoke with a guy I know who teaches the classes and he's against it. Of course.....He tried to give me the typical safety argument but I know better

Landry wants this to pass so he can sue people that carry. Wonder what his billboard slogan will be

They'll screw it up. The bill has passed twice before. Jon bel vetoed it and there were enough repubs to over ride him but they cucked out in the end

That’s the most retarded logic.
Yes, the person prepping for a mass shooting will keep that law in mind.
