Or maybe it was Peter's RESPONSE to Jesus's question that is the "rock" upon which the Church would exist? Such being that Jesus was/is "THE Son of God".

Popes are not infallible, and neither was Peter, or any person. Obviously. The Idea of Jesus being THE Son of God is either absolute Truth, or absolute vanity from a narcissistic and delusional madman. No grey there.

If a culture does not reproduce, it dies.

Homo norminalization cuts against reproductive strategy.

That's why cultures for milinea, have taken a dim view of it.

Well I’m Catholic and I don’t agree with anything that current pope says or does and neither does my church parish or priest. Heck, other than the libtarded news media propaganda machine I don’t know of anyone that approves of that mentally deranged, sick gay, tranny, or pedo garbage.

This Pope has stated repeatedly that homosexuality is a bad thing, because it disorders God's Plan.

Every Christian, and Jesus Christ, prays for all Sinners to be blessed and healed by God, so that they may Repent and follow Jesus.

When a Sinner is Blessed, a Soul is Blessed. The Sin is not Blessed.

But, this Pope has made it easy for enemies of the Church to sow confusion and distort these Truths - and, of course, they are doing so with complete zealotry and joy.

When a Priest Blesses a person, he blesses a Soul, not the Sins on that Soul.

It is totally inconsistent with the teachings in Scripture - removes Jesus as the Head of the marital mystery/2 shall become 1 - is an absolute abomination in God's design and Word and for the Church to sanction even with a blessing is reprehensible

When a practicing homosexual receives a Blessing from a Priest, that homosexual is assenting to the action of the Holy Spirit entering the homosexual's life and working to make the homosexual stop being a practicing homosexual.

The homosexual is literally asking God to make him either not homosexual or asking God for the strength to be celibate.

The Blessing descends upon a Soul, not the Sins on that Soul.

Do you understand?

Apparently, he and many Catholics believe the pope overrules

If the Pope overrules the written word of the Bible on the subject, does that mean that someone could consider a pope to be an antipope whose actions are to the detriment of the church?

Yep...

Deuteronomy 4:2
“You shall not add to the word which I command you, nor take anything from it, that you may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.”

The blessing is a response of renunciation of the sin...not the other way around...irrespective the sin. Yes, a merciful God but paramount in holiness.

Remind me again, Francis, what does the Bible say on the subject?

It is sin

Leviticus 18:22: "Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is an abomination."

God gave them up to passions of dishonor; for even their females exchanged the natural use for that which is contrary to nature, and likewise also the males, having left the natural use of the female, were inflamed by their lust for one another, males with males, committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the recompense which was fitting for their error.

Of course it also condemns adultery

But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving. for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and. whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.

“You have heard that it was said, ‘Do not commit adultery.’ But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

Of course most people harp on the sin of others and ignore their own

The Pope:

quote:

“But in general, I trust that gradually everyone will be reassured by the spirit of the ‘Fiducia Supplicans’ declaration by the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith: it aims to include, not divide,” the pontiff added.

Jesus:

quote:

Do you think that I have come to give peace on earth? No, I tell you, but rather division. 52 For from now on in one house there will be five divided, three against two and two against three. 53 They will be divided, father against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against mother-in-law.”

Uhh, it's not a "small ideological group".

It's pretty clearly spelled out in the Bible, exactly how GOD Himself feels about homosexuality, and the ramifications for willfully participating in the lifestyle/act.

"Inclusion" is not part of following GOD. If you have to shatter the rules of the Word just to bring people to the Lord, you're bringing them to the wrong god.

I normally don't trust secular media to report on what Pope Francis says as they usually don't have an understanding of the Catholic world view.

A better article on what he said IMO

Basically Pope Francis is saying we should welcome everyone and not reject anyone because they have certain tendencies. As the classic saying goes, hate the sin not the sinner.

This message is the clear message of the Catechism of the Roman Catholic Church. It's there for all to read. Practicing homosexuals, those who are living lives of fornication, people cheating on their spouses - all of them - the message is "God Bless you. Go and Sin no more."

Now, are there some liars out there who will insist that the Pope is blessing homosexual and lesbian sex? Of course. There will always be liars who are always ready to attack Jesus, the Pope - anything to do with Christianity.

I personally don't agree with the Pope's initiative in this case, because it does provide a great deal of "ammo" for the haters to use against him and against the Roman Catholic Church. I don't agree with his move here because it requires a bit of study in order to understand why this is not "The Pope now approves of Gay Sex".

So, we are all in agreement that we don't like this move. Male Gay Sex is disgusting. Lesbian Sex is not disgusting. BOTH are disordered, deadly and mortal sin. That is the fact.
