It’s incredible. They totally abandoned the very identity of their offense. There weren’t many designed runs with Lamar, either.
Lamar has improved as a passer, but the coaches should not have pinned the entire offense on his arm. I don’t think Harbaugh or anyone else in that organization will ever be able to justify, or even explain, the reasoning behind that atrocious game plan.

They went in with the mindset to leave it all in Lamar's hands...literally.

This stat proves that the Ravens should trade Lamar. I read that somewhere today.

The most inexcusable part is the Chiefs are a top 5-10 pass defense but somewhere around bottom 10 in rush defense
They gave their lead RB 3 carries
3 CARRIES
Absolute clown coaching

Consider that the Ravens may have had big leads early in run heavy games and were playing catch-up when the run was featured less often.

While the Chiefs have a great Defense this year, they are an enigma in the fact that they give up the most yards per rush, on average. Something like 5.3 yards per rush.
BUF, early in the game, was pushing them 3-4 yards off the ball, then abandoned the run for a while. I didn't watch the BAL game because I figured it would be fixed for KC/Swift, but to see this stat today...WOW.
I fully expect Kyle Shannahan to choke it up in the SB and abandon the run as well, despite CMC being the MVP this year.

How the hell do your only run the ball 6 times in the AFC championship game?

To me it's less about just running back rushes, but overall rushes (excluding scrambles). KC was like 3rd in defensive EPA per dropback, but 28th in defensive EPA per rush. Baltimore was pretty well-balanced overall as they were 6th in EPA per dropback and 3rd in EPA per rush, and through the the divisional round against Houston, their offensive was pretty well-balanced with 55.8% of plays being a pass/dropback (including sacks and scrambles), but about 50% if you include scrambles.
But in this game, facing one of the best passing defenses in the league but one of the worst rushing defenses, over 80% of their play calls were dropbacks/passes, and even if you exclude Lamar's 5 scrambles, it was still about 72%.
That's just poor play calling, going from a even balanced team, to a pass heavy team, playing into the defensive strength's and avoiding the defensive's weaknesses.
