Iran knows we have a weak, senile fool in the White House. They did this because they know there will be no serious consequences as a result of the attack.
The surest way to find yourself in a war is to make war against you plausible to your enemies.
Now that it’s done, the only possible action at this point is to completely decapitate Iran’s leadership and war making capabilities. In short, unleash unrelenting hellfire down on Iran on a scale that makes the once again understand to attack the US is a terrible idea. Until we do this, these attacks will only escalate.
I’m not happy to have to say this. The prospect scares the hell out of me in fact because my only son is an infantryman in the US Army. But this is where we find ourselves due to a complete lack of leadership at the top.

Trump supporter or AOC fanboy.
Please ask yourself why we have troops in Jordan to begin with.
Don’t allow them to send another generation to die and ruin their lives and the lives of their families.
We need to get back to aristocrats fighting the wars.
I’m a Purple Heart vet from the Iraq war. And I have no pride from that stupid decision. I did nothing to advance liberty for my neighbor. I was a pawn. I cringe when someone tells me “thank you for your service”. Even if I know their intentions are benign.
It’s why I don’t mention my time in the army to anyone I see in my daily life. I was part of the problem. I should not be thanked for anything.
Don’t repeat this cycle that only enriches multinational oligarchs.
I don’t care if you are democrat or republican.
