Nomas Gastro Bar in Macclesfield made the announcement on Tuesday (January 23rd) that it had come to the ‘difficult yet necessary decision’ to add meat options to its menu in order for the business to survive.
quote:
Owner Adonis Norouznia said the challenges the restaurant has ‘faced in recent times have been heartfelt and profound’ and that it will serve ‘a thoughtfully curated selection of high-quality, responsibly sourced meat and dairy’.
quote:
The restaurant has faced a backlash of negative comments – including from people who had never visited it and who didn’t even live anywhere near Macclesfield. This included comments like ‘Enjoy moral bankruptcy’ and ‘How many animals do you think deserve to die so your business can succeed?’.

Is this the Babylon Bee?

I mean, aside from all the ones that died to bring the fruits and vegetables?
Why are vegans under this delusion that their way doesn't kill animals? It just kills different ones, and then doesn't even have the courtesy to make use of their sacrifices.
Their delicious, delicious sacrifices.

I always chuckle when I see meaningless empty phrases like this. How exactly is the meat "responsibly" sourced? Did they give the cow a nice meal before the slaughter? Gently set the carcass down instead of tossing it around?

So it's a homo restaurant?

Basically.
They are fed pasture raised grasses and allowed to forage.
Factory farmed cattle are either in tiny pens or in so crowded areas the lack of mobility might as well be pens, Fed the cheapest whatever the owner can find.

Lots of good vegan food out there. Probably a classic case where a restaurateur is a poor business owner.

Nothings cheaper than grass. I've been raising cattle all my life and never seen these factory cattle farms you are talking about. Maybe you are talking about finishing lots where cattle go before slaughter so they can be fed grain?

Answer:
As many as necessary.

Well, looks like the owner figured it all out. Most consumers are meat eaters. In fact, it goes all the way back to the beginning. I've never seen a cave drawing of a salad..... just say'n.

We are at a point in history where we as a whole have invented ways to eat to achieve moral superiority over others. Think about that..... We have created ways to consume nutrients to make us feel better about ourselves. It's not about survival but about having the warm fuzzies when you consume your nutrients.

These people are mental. They don't even realize there aren't even enough vegans to keep the restaurant open. They are a niche of a niche, yet insist on holding everyone to their suicidal standards. Boycott this place and every single business that handles animal products. Now, what do you have left?

Yeah if you have the land perhaps, and are okay with taking longer to hit targets. In the holistic picture, corn feeds are cheaper.

Yes. The CAFOs where they spend around six months or so in there in pretty shitty conditions till the cattle hits the metrics for slaughter.
Around 70% of us beef goes through this style.

Essentially, yeah it was given a nice life before slaughter, and then taken to the killing floor with grace and a swift end.
Don't know why, but your response made me think of this.

This probably isn’t even the problem.
It’s not like you will burst into flames as a meat eater if you consume vegan food.
Yes, you are limited by what you can do without meats or cheeses, but the place’s problem is probably that it’s so full of itself that the pretentiousness is off putting, and they charge too much for what they they put in front of you.
No reason why a café like that can’t rake it in serving stuff like a quality tomato soup with crusty bread lunch special.

Sir. It is clear you don't know what you are talking about.
You made it sound like cattle are fed cheap swill and and live their lives on finishing lots. Now you are back tracking and still aren't getting it right.
Finishing lots take in cattle raised to adulthood on grass. Then for 3 months (not six) they are fed grain (not corn as you state) which purges them of any medication is in their system and bulks them up.
Grain isn't cheap. It's actually really costly. People aren't putting cows in pens in raising them on feed unless you want to pay $100 for a pack of hamburger meat.
Mt cattle live on huge pastures for years. Then when they go to be finished for a few months some jackass takes pictures of them on the lots and sky screams "factory farm" and accuses me of feeding them cheap crap.
Any persons that have cattle take care of them. If they dont...they won't be in the cattle business for long
