I think everyone knows that the heavier the vehicle, the more wear and tear on the tires and the roads. And ev's are quite a bit heavier, so...

I've never had a car that can do 60 in four seconds but if I did I'm sure I would abuse it.
This is pretty much it. You can get normal range on regular XL load-rated tires if you aren't barking them at every stop sign or red light. Hell, I was approaching 30k miles on the OEMs (which aren't XLs) before switching them out due to a nail puncturing a sidewall, and all of them still measure close to new. I kept the good three as future spares that I can easily get another 25k miles out of. And I do "goose it" from time to time.
Now, ask me about all the gas, oil changes, transmission fluid changes, coolant flushes, differential fluid changes, etc. I don't have to deal with on that car. Over the life of the car, it's not even close as to which one is more costly, both to my wallet or any perceived impacts on the environment (not why I bought it). I loathe the $100+ oil changes on my other two.

The stock tires aren't that cheap. The front tires cost right at $500 per tire, the rear barely under $600, plus balancing, tax, and you're an idiot of you don't get road hazard on that expensive of a tire.
Tirebuyer and tire rack list the wrong tire. There is also a different model front and back. Stock front tires are the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S 265/30/ZR21 (101Y) extra load and stock rear tires are the Michelin Pilot Sport 4s 295/30/ZR21 (102Y) extra load. Maybe you can find them cheaper and out of stock, but you won't do a whole lot better for anywhere that can get them.
Obviously you could get a cheaper tire, but I said the stock tire.

I guess some fools believed they would have zero maintenance on a vehicle just because it has an electric engine.

What makes tires on an ev different from tires on a EARTH KILLING vehicle?
according to the OP-
quote:
At EV Garage Miami, a Sweetwater repair shop that services 90 percent electric vehicles, lead technician Jonathan Sanchez said tires are the most frequent thing customers come in about — no matter what model or make of EV they’re driving. Tire mileage can vary widely of course, but he said he frequently changes EV tires at just 8,000 to 10,000 miles — a fourth or even fifth of typical tire wear on a gas-burning car.
There are a number of explanations for the fast wear — from the way EVs work to the composition of the rubber to individual driving habits and maintenance practices — but vehicle and tire makers and industry experts acknowledge the issue. The tire manufacturer Michelin said conventional tires on electric vehicles consume tires 20 percent faster than on a gas-powered car — a figure commonly cited by EV makers as well — but Goodyear also has said they could wear up to 50 percent faster.
Most EVs, thanks to the large battery system, weigh hundreds of pounds or more than equivalent gas vehicles. That can put more added stress on tires, said Sanchez, who worked six years at Tesla as a master technician before coming to EV Garage Miami.
Some EV-specific tires are made differently as well — to both enhance mileage range from battery power and to offset one standout feature of electric vehicles. Without mechanical engines, they’re super quiet, which actually can make for an unpleasant driving experience. Tires can whine or hum rolling on pavement.

No one hates EVs. Reasonable people hate the idea of EV mandates.

Let's rail against a product because of the actions of government officials.
Seems like a real high IQ take.

Acceleration, instant torque at the wheels, and weight (they tend to be heavier than comparable cars).
EDIT: I drive like an old woman so my tread depth isn’t unusually shallow.

There’s some truth to this honestly. I use autopilot as much as I can, both autopilot and “full self driving” are very tame, which is understandable.

I think most EV drivers are just over driving the car and the extra 1000lbs wears out the tires faster. That said the loudest tires I have had have been 200 tread wear performance tires at the wear bars.

Do they put different type of tires on them?
Know a guy who has a Leaf...it came with Bridgestones (Ecopias, I think). So...that's a pretty standard tire. They are supposed to last 65,000 miles...his wore out around 25,000. Not sure if it's a weight distribution thing, or a 100% torque at starts that wear them faster.

Luckily for you, these don't exist anymore without heavily modifying ICE vehicles, which only an extremely small minority of people do. So sounds like you are wanting to solve a problem that doesn't really exist
